This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 11th day of January, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3550], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., via [477].

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3550].
3. As we find, there are conditions disturbing the better physical functioning of the body. These have to do primarily with the eliminations of the body and the effect that these disturbances in the form of toxic forces have upon the functioning of the organs of the body.
4. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body:
5. First, the blood supply indicates the toxic conditions that exist through alimentary canal, also disturbances in the manner in which the liver is involved - or the hepatic circulation.
6. Hence reflexly from this, we have a disturbance through the duodenum that causes the formation of gas, the lack of proper digestion, with disturbances throughout the alimentary canal at times conditions in the kidneys and in the gall duct area, as well as the disturbances from the acidity that is formed through the alimentary canal and especially the colon, with reflexes in the lymph - throat, bronchi, head.
7. Thus headaches come at times in the temple, at other times between the eyes, and again at the top of the head. All of these are the attempts of the nervous system to give warning as to the disturbances existing through the whole of the alimentary canal.
8. As to the effects that the blood supply and the disturbance to the functioning of organs have upon the nervous system:
9. We find there are periods when the body has acute pains through portions of the body, as indicated from the headaches. At other periods there is not so much pain but a tendency for the inability for the body to sleep or to rest well. At other times the body becomes distressed about things when apparently there is no reason for it, but is just disturbed throughout - whether asleep or awake.
10. Also there are disturbances to the activities of the circulation in the lymph, and there are ailments that cause a great deal of irritation on portions of the body.
11. The activities of organs themselves are very good in many ways. The reflexes are good. Not many people have more patience than this entity, except when it gets mad, and then it is mad all over!
12. Reflexes to the throat and bronchi give a great deal of trouble, because of acidity in the system. There are tendencies for accumulations in lymph that find expression at times in throat and bronchi as if needles or pins were sticking in the throat. Then at other times there is the effect as of a burning in portions of the stomach, duodenum, and throughout the whole alimentary canal.
13. Then, in making correction of these conditions:
14. First we would set up better eliminations. Twice each day take internally about three drops of Glyco-Thymoline in half a glass of water. Do this for four or five days.
15. Then begin with Castor Oil Packs over the abdominal area, the liver and gall duct, and extend to the caecum on the right side. Apply these for one hour each evening when ready to retire, using three to four thicknesses of flannel saturated with warm Castor Oil. Apply directly to the skin, covering thoroughly with a piece of oilcloth to prevent soiling linens, and then a pad - for the oil will go right through the body as well as through any of the cloths put on same. Then apply an electric pad. Keep this on for one hour each evening for three evenings in succession.
16. Then take two tablespoonsful of Olive Oil - not Castor Oil but Olive Oil.
17. Rest then for a week from these applications, and commence all over again.
18. Then begin with hydrotherapy treatments, including a Fume Bath using witchhazel - or a little of the Dry Heat and then the Fume Bath followed by a thorough rubdown.
19. Between the first and second series of the Castor Oil Packs, it would be well to have a colonic irrigation - but very carefully given, owing to the hemorrhoid condition. Not too much water should be injected at first, but have the water body temperature and to each half gallon of water we would add a heaping teaspoonful of salt and a level teaspoonful of soda, thoroughly dissolved.
20. After each hydrotherapy treatment have a general massage.
21. In the diet do have more raw vegetables. Do keep away from citrus fruits until there has been a thorough cleansing. Then we will find that these will be well. Prepare the raw vegetables often with gelatin. Lettuce, celery, carrots, water cress - all of these may be taken, grated or cut or prepared in various manners. But have some or all of these at some meal every day. Eat less and less of red meats of any kind. Fish, fowl and lamb may be taken, but never fried foods.
22. Do these things and we will rid the body of these disturbances, we will prevent accumulations in the lymph circulation and prevent a great deal of distress later.

24. (Q) Why does the heart get so easily upset?
    (A) The hepatic circulation - that is, the liver and kidney circulation upsets the heart circulation. For the lungs, heart, liver and kidneys are the central circulation. Inflammation through the throat and lungs is only sympathetic. Inflammation in the gall duct area and the duodenum upsets the liver and kidneys. Naturally the heart is sympathetic to whatever is about it, both as to the sympathetic circulation and the central circulation.
25. (Q) What should be done for hemorrhoids?
    (A) Change the conditions in the body. Prepare a combination of oils to be injected. This may cause a bit of irritation but using this regularly, about once every ten days, we may eliminate these conditions entirely. Put two drops of carbolic acid in one ounce of glycerine and beat together very thoroughly, then add two ounces of Usoline. Stir, mix or shake this very thoroughly, and then use a baby syringe for injecting into the rectum - this quantity should be sufficient for at least two or three injections. This will remove the tensions there. But it is more important to sir the circulation and the eliminations, and to remove the toxic forces in the manners indicated. This will eliminate the soreness in the duodenum, through the alimentary canal and relieve the tension on the heart, the liver and kidneys. And the throat should clear up in the first series of applications to the gall duct and caecum area. Do these and we will bring better conditions for this body.
