1/51 Report made to IMG by [
2390], sister of foster father:
"Some time ago [
2533] and I visited brother and his wife in
... They have adopted a little girl who is very pretty and
just a couple of years younger than [
3569]. My sister-in-law
remarked that they would love to get a piano for [
3569] but
they couldn't afford to and I told her that they couldn't
afford not to. I didn't inquire about [
3569] except
casually. Up to five years ago, all that I know of his case
is as follows. He was taken to the University of ..., where
they were told that he had the petit-mal type of epilepsy.
He was given capsules to take (I don't know what was in them)
but he was to take one or two a day and this was kept up for
at least one year. They were also told to watch out for his
eyes, and to be sure he had on glasses, if he went into the
strong sunlight. The reading was never followed. He is an
attractive child, has good mind, very interested in music and
wants a piano so badly. I do not think they will make a
report on his case, but I think they should be given the
opportunity to do so."
7/60 Note by W. N Pahnke, M.D., in his resume of 96 cases of
epilepsy: "This case is classified in group 1. A diagnosis
of petit mal epilepsy seems justified. As given in the
reading, much karma was involved. There was no good
follow-up."
