Mr. Edgar Cayce,
Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment,
Virginia Beach, Virginia
My dear Mr. Cayce:
Pursuant to your letter of Oct. 5th, 1943, informing me that
you have scheduled a physical reading for me on January 17th,
1944, 3:30 to 4:30 and instructing me to notify you a few
days in advance where I shall be at that hour and send a
list of questions to be asked at that time, I submit the
following:
I shall be in the ... Cottage, ... Ranch, ..., Florida, at
the appointed hour of reading and would appreciate the
following questions being answered:
1. Is there any organic irregularity, dislocation, adhesion
or other complication of the digestive or intestinal tract
which is and has been causing almost non existent natural
elimination for years?
2. Are frequent severe headaches and soreness in back of
neck caused by faulty elimination and is shortness of breath
and rapid heart pulsation, usually accompanied by gastric
disturbance, traceable to the same source.
3. Why do several enemas daily frequently fail to prevent
above conditions recurring whereas a strong solution of epsom
salts relieves them quickly and is this the best method to
pursue?
4. My diet is largely raw and cooked vegetables, fruit, milk,
some meat and fish, products of soy bean flour, honey and
the usual so-called health foods. Am very fond of grain
starch - whole wheat, rye, etc. but even sparing use of it
at times seems to bring on conditions above mentioned. Why
can I not digest it?
5. Is eczema on elbow of right arm (nowhere else) due to
above conditions or traceable to some other source and what
is the best method of treating it?
6. Is there any condition of heart, gall bladder, prostate
gland or intestines that needs specific treatment or
medication and what would such treatment be.
7. What is the condition of general health considered from
standpoint of my age, 61 years?
Some weeks ago I received a letter from the Association
setting forth its needs for broadening and expanding its
work and the accompanying need for funds with which to
accomplish it. I wish that I might enclose a sizeable check
to verify my approval and appreciation of this work but I am
not now in a position to do so. The small contribution I do
enclose herewith in no way indicates my desires to help and
I trust I may be able to amplify it in the not too far
distant future.
Thanking you for the privilege of this reading, I am
Very sincerely yours, [
