READING 3572-1
M CHILD

This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 18th day of January, 1944, in accordance with request made by the father, Mr. [...], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno. (Notes read to and transcribed by Jeanette Fitch.)

Time and Place: 10:50 A. M. Eastern War Time. In the hospital, ..., Michigan.

TEXT

  1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
  2. EC: Yes, here we find a condition of phlebitis and a dropsical condition that extends even to the lower abdominal area.
  3. Under the direction of a homeopathic physician we would add those properties of cimex lectularius. This should alleviate this condition. For there is some resistance here being kept in the body.
  4. Do that.
  5. We are through with this reading.

BACKGROUND

  1. 1/16/44 Father's wire: "Confirming our conversation of this A.M. my son [3572] is critically ill with hemorrhagic glomerular Nephritis in hospital four months. Will you please help? Application will be signed immediately upon receipt and returned. Either telephone or telegraph me collect."

REPORTS

  1. 2/03/78 GD's note: We did not hear again. Since the young man (or child) was in a hospital, I am not surprised that the reading was so brief. Besides, two other first readings were given that morning [2246-2 and 3571-1]. Edgar Cayce was swamped, besides being ill himself. It was always difficult to get a reading followed in a hospital, and I suppose it was foreseen that nothing would be done. The father no doubt was expecting a miracle, after reading the September 1943 Coronet magazine article, MIRACLE MAN OF VIRGINIA BEACH, by Margueritte Harmon Bro.
