TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [3586].
3. Now as we find, there are many conditions that are very good. There are those disturbances and those tendencies that are constantly giving disturbances in the body. Unless some measures are taken for the correction of these, there may be easily brought about those conditions in the functioning of the organs that may deplete the body and cause a great deal of disturbance a little later.
4. The effects of these disturbances are seen in the activity of the organs through an infection that causes disorder. This arises primarily from a catarrhal condition which has long existed in the soft tissue of nasal passages, antrum, even the mastoids. The effects are manifested through the lymph circulation or the drippings from these infectious areas have an effect upon the throat and stomach - owing to the manner in which digestion takes place, and also these have an effect on the circulation of the lymph from these areas to the locomotary centers.
5. These are the sources of the disorders, producing effects reflexly in the blood and the nerve system and the organic activity through the body.
6. The blood supply gives an irritation that presents itself at times as an irritation under the skin in portions of the body; not always. For these disturbances cause incoordination between the eliminating channels, by the effect of these infectious forces in the blood and the lymph through the organs of the elimination - lungs or respiratory system, the perspiratory system, the alimentary canal, the kidneys.
7. Thus we have reflexly in the organs of the body at times heaviness in the lungs or shortness of breath, feeling of heaviness in the lung area or across the lower areas of the lungs themselves. At other times we will find that there is an upsetting easily of the digestive system and the lack of proper digestion of foods, with the formation of gas through the abdominal area, and the conditions with the kidneys and bladder that cause irritation. Through these variations reflexly in the organs at times there are the effects carried in the lymph and in the deeper circulation that cause rheumatic conditions in fingers, the lower limbs, the knees, ankles, feet, hips at times. It isn't rheumatic it is neuritic - or poison pressures on nerve ganglia that cause the disturbance.
8. Here is a condition where the body should take its own medicine and take it rather severely.
9. First, though, in making the applications correct the sources of the troubles. These would be materially aided, or the more quickly aided, if there would be used the Elliott Machine. And this would be very well for the body to add to its own equipment and use it on yourself first - especially for the nasal and antrum condition. This is just hot water, raising the heat in the body. We will destroy the infectious areas in the antrum. This, too, is of the same character that may be used in many another disturbance peculiar to the activities the body may encounter.
10. With this we would also use Glyco-Thymoline Packs over face, neck and head, with and without heat at times.
11. Also use these Packs over the abdominal area, especially over the pit of the stomach.
12. Do begin to take at least twice each week a teaspoonful of Acigest in a glass of raw milk, at the evening meal - say Tuesdays and Thursdays, or Tuesdays and Fridays.
13. Then do take the sweats with the Fume Bath, using witchhazel, and a massage or rubdown especially in the feet, the knees, and through the lumbar and sacral area.
14. But correct first the condition in the soft tissue of the antrum, the face and the head.
15. Do these and we will make better conditions for this body.
16. Ready for questions.
17. (Q) Any tubercular infection?
    (A) No. This is rather the effect of those absorptions from the antrum condition - the infection there. With the change in the ability for assimilation, and the building up of the body, these tendencies should easily disappear. Tubercular infection could be easily absorbed or taken, but it is not active in the present.
18. (Q) Am I allergic to any substances?
    (A) Did you ever consider what is meant by being allergic? Most of it is in your imagination! Do you imagine things? Then you are allergic to it. There are some pollens and odors (more odors with this body) that are offensive, and thus the body is allergic to them. But these also will disappear if there is better circulation created and if the poisons are eliminated from the system.
19. (Q) What can be done for constipation?
    (A) The taking of these treatments in the manners indicated will aid materially. Laxatives are very well but for this body the high colonics are much better.
20. (Q) What troubles lower part of back?
    (A) Pressures from poisons through the pelvic, lumbar and sacral area. Massages here should be with an equal combination of Olive Oil (heated) and Tincture of Myrrh, or to two ounces of each of these add one quarter ounce of Lanolin (liquefied).
21. (Q) Is there an arthritic condition in the left knee?
    (A) As indicated it is neuritic, not arthritic nor rheumatic. While there is the tendency for the uric acid to cause disturbance at times - usually when there is acute pain - for this body it comes to the head, for the pressure is in the area of the last lumbar center. Hence with the massages and the corrections, it should disappear.
22. (Q) Would it be well to go to another climate? Where?
    (A) You can go if you desire, but it is not necessary for the health. Correct the condition where you are.
23. (Q) Any suggestions as to how my work of physiotherapy can be improved?
    (A) This is very good. Add some of the new equipment indicated. But these treatments need to be rather consistently used. Treat each and every patient as you would like to be treated if you were the patient.
24. We are through with this reading.

BACKGROUND

1. 1/22/44 Oral report: Had submucous operation - also the antrums have been opened and irrigated, and the little bone of nose removed... A doctor in Chicago told her the condition of sinus came from colon... Has used diathermy quite a bit.
What is cause of dripping mucous in throat and bronchial tubes and what will relieve this condition? Any tubercular infection? Am I allergic to any substances? What should I do about such a condition? Is there an arthritic condition in the left knee? What can be done for constipation? What causes acute attacks of indigestion? What troubles lower part of back? Would it be well to go to another climate? Where? Any suggestions as to how my work or physiotherapy can be improved?
