GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
EC: Yes - familiar place! [Because it's where Dillmans lived a while and had readings - same apartment building?]
We have the body here [3604] - as we find, there are disturbances that may become quite serious unless measures are taken to correct the disorders which have been produced by the acids taken into the stomach, that have caused a caking in the pyloric portion of the stomach. At times when there is the cycle of rejuvenation of those portions of same, this causes the great distresses.
While there are not indications of any great disturbance, if observed very closely by the x-ray there may be seen the thickening of the wall of the pyloric portion of the stomach, on the inner and under side of the pylorus.
Then, in making corrections here, to be sure, precautions must be taken as to the diet. Not too much of any liquids or semi-liquids; eat that which has been found to be easily digested with the character of the lactics and the digestive fluids of the stomach. Vary these, but the body, with sufficient experience should follow very closely what has been the experience.
Begin, for corrections, in this manner:
Do have osteopathic adjustments. Go down here next door to Pike, and have these of the nature that are simply relaxing; not stimulating, but so as to assist in emptying the stomach and duodenum. Thus the centers in the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th dorsals are to receive particular attention, though all the segments along the whole length of the spine should be included in relaxing the body.
Also prepare the Wet Cell Appliance, but in a little different manner. Use the regular strength charge, but both of the wires are to be attached to one plate - this plate to be of nickel and medium size, a size between that of the copper plate and the larger plate usually used on the umbilical plexus.
Keep this on daily for at least twenty to thirty minutes. The one plate would be attached to the 9th dorsal, and the feet would be put in warm water. Better take off your shoes and socks, to be sure! But put the feet in warm salt water, not too salty, but salt water.
It will be necessary to recharge the Appliance every thirty days. Each time when removing the Appliance from the body, disconnect the lead wires from the Appliance.
The Appliance treatment should be followed with a massage over the abdomen area, over the liver, across the whole diaphragm, even up to the cardiac portion of the stomach; using Pine Oil - not too heavy but Pine Oil.
Do these and we will make for better conditions of the body.

(Q) Is this condition of long standing?
(A) It's been some little time back. Some very strong medicine was once given the body when young.
(Q) Could a diet list be given?
(A) As indicated, follow the diets that have been indicated by the experience of the body as being the best. Change these according to the corrections, as will be found by experience.

BACKGROUND

10/08/43 Letter from [3604]'s wife: "He was told he had an ulcer of the stomach, and has been on a milk and egg diet but lately he felt better and was able to eat and digest other foods; he doesn't eat anything fried, nor any pastry. After being quite happy about his improvement, during the night he was taken ill again. We are devout Spiritualists and firmly believe in divine healing, but also know that the physical cause must be removed first. The material doctor says to have x-rays taken, besides a series of injections and a lot of other things, while the medium whose church we attend told me that [3604]'s stomach is very bad, but doesn't seem to be able to help in suggestions as to what to do about it. My husband has also already taken 13 chiropractic treatments."
11/02/43 Letter: "He has had 2 terrible attacks within 6 weeks."
11/18/43 Letter: "He is so very ill again - was taken suddenly this afternoon while at work...this is the 4th attack he has had since I first wrote you...we'd like to wait until the reading can be given, before we go ahead with the x-rays and perhaps the operation, as maybe that can be avoided, but that is all the doctors tell us, so it's no use calling others in; the 2 we had talked the same."

Dear Friends:-
First I want to thank you all as well as Mr. Edgar Cayce, for the Physical Health Reading given to my husband [3604] Jan. 26th.
After reading it over we were both so happy to learn that there wasn't a more serious condition existing in his stomach, as we were led to believe that nothing short of an operation would help, therefore we are ever so thankful that we held off, until we received this Reading, and now we find that there is help in store for him, without that dreaded operation.
He is over to Dr. Pike's now, for an appointment, and of that too we are happy as he has been our family Osteopath for a number of years, as both my husband as well as myself and Mother have taken treatments from him at different times, so that makes it easier now. Then yesterday we have also sent for the Wet Cell Appliance to Mr. Godfrey.
The only thing that wasn't mentioned in the Reading was about the length of time this Appliance should be used daily, so we thought about a year, do you Mr. Cayce, think that is long enough? Of course I suppose it depends on the patient's improvement in the mean time, doesn't it?
Now as I have said that I too would send in my application for a Physical Reading for myself as soon as we had my husband's am doing so herewith. Therefore please find my application along with a U.S. Money Order in the amount of $20.00, and hope that you can find time for it within well not too far off, as I know you must be kept very busy. Perhaps by the time you acknowledge this letter you can tell me the date, so I will have that to look forward to. And as before will send you the list of questions a week or ten days ahead of time.
