8/16/44 EC's letter to [
3608]:
New York, N.Y.
Dear Miss [
3608]:
Thanks very much for yours of the 20th. I have been out of
town, trying to get some rest. Not feeling good, and didn't
come home feeling any better. Been out of circulation for
about three or four weeks. That isn't very good for one of
my temperament, or temper, either.
I was mighty glad to know you, and for you to be with us for
the Congress meeting, and I am, of course, most happy that
you feel that it was worthwhile and that you gained something
from meeting and talking to some of those interested in
the work here. For, of course the proof of any activity is
dependent upon the results or effect it makes in the lives of
individuals who are aware of, or become associated with any
group.
I do hope the appointment for your reading will bring you
what is needed just at this time.
I am going to give you the address of one person - not in
New York - but having meetings in New York. It is Mrs.
Elsie Sechrist, of 530 Broad Avenue, Englewood, N.J. She
has a group that gets together about once a week. They meet
somewhere in New York, or in a different people's homes, and
she can put you in touch with quite a number of members of
the Association. I believe this will be the best way to
commence with it.
Thanks a lot, and hoping that we may indeed be the means of a
real help and service, I am,
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce [EC:gp]
