This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 27th day of January, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Major [3618], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Mr. David E. Kahn.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the record here of that entity now known as or called [3618].
3. From here we would desire to give that which may be helpful for the entity. And yet we find the entity of such a temperament in the present that unless stands are taken or decisions made, it would be doubtful as to whether that which is possible with this entity might be fully and completely indicated in the present. It would be necessary that he grow to it, and make decisions before there is given the complete possibility of the entity.
4. For here we have one who may be even a greater genius than he who was called the wizard of the electrical forces or energies, even than Steinmetz. As to decisions, then, there must first be conclusions by the entity as to whether those abilities in which the entity may excel are to be used for constructive or destructive purposes.
5. For, as indicated, or given by Steinmetz' boss, materially, whatever electricity is to man, that's what the power of God is. Man may in the material world use God-force, God-power or electricity, to do man's work or to destroy man himself. Ye did it before - will ye do it again?
6. The entity was among the sons of the Law of One using those energies in the periods in Atlantis that destroyed Atlantis, that destroyed mankind.
7. What is thy purpose in the present? Do ye have ideals spiritually? Do ye desire that ye may be controlled of power and might, or do ye desire power and might that ye may glorify thy Maker?
8. These determine in thyself; not merely by saying "Yes, I'll be a good boy." But live it for a year, and come around sonny, and we'll tell you.
9. We are through for the present.

   1. Should I make an attempt to be transferred overseas at present, or stay put? 2. After the war would it be better for me to resume my former work in the electrical manufacturing field or set up my own business in the sales engineering field? Or would you suggest something else? 3. Would you suggest a plan of action in the right direction? 4. Would you suggest a location in which to best do this work? 5. Any warning about health?

REPORTS

1. 11/11/82 GD's note: Major [3618]'s widow visited A.R.E. today, saying that her husband died ten years ago; that he had been active in this country, not overseas, during World War II, and was certainly involved in electrical energies. He also continued to have difficulty making up his mind, just as the reading said, but he was very successful in his line of work, which had to do with electricity. [She did not elaborate.]
