Mr. Edgar Cayce
Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Edgar:
Attempted to call you Wed. night more to hear your voice and
to thank you personally than anything else, operator reported
you were out of the City. Sorry I missed the confab, I am so
thankful to God and to you, Mrs. [
3670] is doing splendidly,
no pain, no temperature, no wretching. Has had several good
eliminations, natural color, however she still raises
considerable sputum rather thick. The doctor thinks there is
a possibility there may be a slight Mucous Gastritis, some
days she has one elimination, one day there was two,
yesterday none, so we gave another colonic irrigation which
was highly successful as 5 or 6 large lumps that apparently
had been in upon intestines for a long while were evacuated.
We were very fortunate in securing the services of a most
competent Lady Osteopath Mrs. Laura N. Chappell, she had
followed your instructions without question and I think in a
very satisfactory manner. We have adhered to the Diet as
you directed, but she is beginning to be very hungry, wants
milk toast, also buttermilk, will you please wire me if she
may have them or any other food you may deem advisable if
any. I failed to finish up on the success of the colonic
irrigation after the large lumps were evacuated there was a
capious movement of natural color. I know you are busy and
am sorry to have to take up your time but I want you to know
there is no one on this earth I would do more for than you,
and I trust I may be able at some time to render you a
service of some kind, there is no doubt in my mind you have
saved her life as I always felt she could not survive an
operation if there is ever anything I can do for you or any
of your family please do call on me. Wire about the food
please, Mrs. [
3670] asks me to thank both you and Mrs. Cayce
for your efforts in her behalf, and to tell you she will
remember you in her prayers each day. Will let you hear more
later, I ask our Father richest blessings on you all.
Sincerely Your Friend [...]

Dear Edgar:
I have been trying for two months today, to pull myself
together to write you. We thought [
3670] was doing so well,
and as far as the gall bladder trouble was concerned I still
felt she was, at 4:15 A.M. on March 7th she woke up in pain.
Started vomiting, the pain in right breast was so intense
called the Doctor, took her to hospital where she was
examined by another Doctor, then another one, they said
Coronary Thrombosis. All was done that could be I suppose
and at 3:55 P.M. on the 9th she closed her eyes and went
peacefully to sleep, I am so despondent and depressed. I
blame myself that I did not get you to prescribe for the
heart condition and may be she could have been kept with us.

3670]'s husband:
My dear [...]
I have your's of the 9th with the sad news. I wish now we
had gone on and had a check reading for Mrs. [
3670] after she
improved so much by using the suggestions indicated for her,
but one never knows.
I can appreciate your position just now, and unless there is
a great faith in the Divine and the hereafter, it is very
hard for any of us. It is something we know has to come, and
yet none of us are ever ready for it. I can only pray that
His grace and mercy will sustain you at this time.
Know that she has just passed through the door. She is not
dead, but more thoroughly alive than when in the physical
body. She is separated from you physically, but in mind and
spirit will be much closer than ever.
I thank you for letting me hear. Do write me again from time
to time.
With every good wish,
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce
