Dear Mr. Cayce:
I am most grateful to you for the two readings which came a
few days ago - one of the most interesting events in our
varied life! Will you please thank Mr. Cayce for her part in
it and the two ladies who took the notes and typed the
readings - they are beautiful job of typing. Of course the
"Life" reading was the most thrilling to me - I knew I was a
mixture and almost a battleground of emotions and the
surprise is that I was a pretty decent person as far back as
you record! Why even in this lifetime I have had such
surging passions and longings - been so deeply in love many
times, that I've hardly known how to keep living normally!
But as you saw, I have always had the spiritual ideals to
keep me straight. They are stronger the longer I live.
I remember when I went through conversion at 19, in our
church near London, how surprised my family was at the
thorough way it "got me" - I gave up theaters and dancing for
something when there was a need - it was just my intense
nature's way. Father said I didn't need to be so Puritanical
and that is something I remembered as I read of being Jessica
Cline in the Cape Cod settlement. I suppose I was one of the
pilgrims? and they were Puritans. Did I come over on the
"Mayflower"? It's just like me to be friendly with the
natives in that area - I've always been like that - in the
Rockies I want to know all the miners and natives I meet. I
love real mountain people.
Strangely enough that Cape Cod life has left no remembrance -
tho not so long ago as reincarnation usually goes. I have NO
drawing to that area - I'm a lover of mountains and the Great
West.
What I had expected to read was that I had something to do
with Leonardo da Vinci. I have a tremendous [?] and
attraction to him - and hoped I might have been a humble
pupil or at least a paint mixer for him. I feel very at home
in Italy, when my parents took me there when I was 28. I
have also felt very drawn to the Greek art - being a lover of
pure line and form. So I've been an artist and nature lover
as far back as you looked! That makes me deeply happy - in
fact, four readings exalted me all day long. I think it was
your mention of my being a kind of initiate. Yes - at my
height I am - I have found the "pearl at great price"
probably only in this life time and it is almost no higher an
ideal to live up to.
I'm glad you think the rift between my husband and me is only
of material things - for altho' I only have a mother love for
him now and we go our separate ways because of things so very
different, I shall always be loyal and long to help him all I
can. He should have married someone more domesticated!
