This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce in Selma, Alabama, this 13th day of August, 1922.

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here? Now the abnormal conditions as we find in this body, [3724] we are speaking of have to do with the function of the organs themselves caused by the reflex condition produced from the organic condition existing in portions of the body, so that we find those means that have been used in part in treating the body has been for the reflex condition rather than the specific cause producing the condition within the physical body here.
2. Now, these are the conditions as we find in this body. At times, in the blood supplying forces, we find the blood deficient throughout its properties, for it has been attacked by some forces that destroy the building properties in the blood itself, so we find the body weakened from the lack of nutriment to supply those properties necessary to rebuild certain cellular forces within the body. Now the body has become anematized by the usage of the hemoglobin within the blood supplying forces, has been deflected in its usages in the different bacilli carried in portions of the system so that the rebuilding forces becomes of a different character and nature within the body itself, especially do we find those conditions existing through the Lumbar regions, through the upper Dorsal region affecting the reflex and the action through the upper part of the Bronchial and through the lower part of the action of the organs themselves of the Pelvis here. In the nerve supply forces within the body, we find the blood supply deficient, the nerves have become lax in their action throughout, as at times they become with certain cycles within the body, that is when certain portions change, as the change of time or of day or of the week they become especially impaired to the outside forces, so that they will be shown as it were in a rack of pain and suffering from many of the centers where the organic conditions exist or show themselves throughout the system; pains in the head, the condition that exists in the feet here, at times, you see, so that carrying the forces has affected the Lymphatic circulation through the nerves in the action through the blood forces, it has been destroyed to those rebuilding nerve forces, has become as it were drawn again in the relaxation in all portions, shows the effects of the condition in the body of [3724].
3. The organic forces and the organs in their functions themselves through the brain supply, we find in the action of certain forces in the brain very good; the effect of the dis-ease, not disease as it would be called in the system, has the effect on the brain centers but reflex only so that they reach those portions, yet they produce but reflex only so that they reach those portions, yet they produce at times melancholy, moroseness, as it were, produce sensitive forces within the body in the action of the organs by the Lymphatic forces within the body in the action of the organs by the Lymphatic forces that supply to the Thyroid those effects in the body, especially to the bronchials, and the inflammation as is produced at times and affects the lung forces, yet the organic conditions within the lungs themselves are able to carry, for the effects of those have not the seat themselves within the lung forces, yet we find the organic condition as is shown to the Pelvis and spleen. The function of the liver is impaired, of course, with the condition, and the effect of the blood force so that we have an engorged condition in the liver and the lobes themselves, showing the effect of expletory [excretory?] system and its action of the body, the hepatic circulation producing temperature at times from the forces as used to eliminate those Bacilli that produce or carry temperature within the body, which only rests at times and breaks away, as it were, reducing forces showing then the action of the kidneys and its eliminating forces as comes through those by properties given to the system, affects then those to the organs that affect the Pelvis and to the locomotories and the sciatic forces of the lower limbs. Through the digestive tract and the function of the stomach and its organs and the action of the pancrean forces we find the seat or the beginning where the first trouble through the action of the nerve forces within first began, these at times are reduced here, then the action in the lower intestine here, or the colon, the large one, and its effects have been shown by the condition that exists throughout at times, within the effects of those as they were removed or the cause relieved of the trouble. This body is better at times, then it is weak at times.
4. This we would apply to this body to bring about normal effects in all portions, in all of the circulation and to the nervous structure and its forces in this body. First we would take into the system those properties to produce equilibrium to the circulation and to give to the blood forces to carry forces needed to rebuild within the Cellular force itself, and that which will be absorbed which will act with the system, that is acting at present to produce equilibrium throughout. Take this into the system:

   Sarsaparilla Root (preferably green
rather than dried).....6 ounces,
Black haw Bark, dried......2 ounces,

   Yellow dock Rood, dried....2 ounces,
Prickly Ash Bark...........2 ounces,
Elder Flower, dried........4 ounces,
Wild Cherry Bark, dried....2 ounces.

5. This will be placed in a gallon of water, rain water preferred, reduced by simmering not boiling to one quart, strain through flannel. While still warm add 4 ounces of Grain alcohol with Balsam of Tolu one-half ounce.
6. The action of these properties combined within the system are to act on the effects acquired in the lung forces within clarifying blood. The action of certain properties is to rebuild the Hemoglobin within the blood to give more Leukocytes to the blood, as we find in the bark of Wild Cherry and Sarsaparilla. The action of the Duodenum, pancrean juices to the stomach and the intestinal forces are well applied form those of Blackhaw and Dock root, those to function of the organs of the Pelvis from the Elder Flower and the Balsam of Tolu with its action on those organs. The alcohol force is to create more of the grape sugar within the stomach itself.
7. Dose of this would be a tablespoonful three times a day. After this had been taken in the system, all of this quart and 6 ounces, we would then give into the system, though not while this is in the system, but after it has been taken and three days have elapsed;

   Chloride of Gold..........15 grains,
Bicarbonate Soda...........4 grains,
in 15 ounces of rain water.

   Dose would be 5 drops in one-half glass water. While this is being given one dose each day, thirty minutes before, the body would be treated with electricity of the ultra violet Ray to produce rejuvenation of all the Lymphatic forces and give resistance to the body.
8. Do this; we will find we will bring this body to a normal condition.
9. We are through.
