This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 9th day of October, 1925, on Mrs. [3776].

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same. You will answer any questions relative to this body that I may ask you.
2. EC: Now, we find the physical conditions of the body much after the same as when last we had it here. While there is not as much of the congestion in the lungs and bronchials, the condition in the mesenteric system shows the overtaxing of the system and the inability of the colon to function in its normal condition.
3. We would follow out those suggestions as has been given, with the laudanum, salts and camphor, with the turpentine occasionally, for the condition in the intestine, using when possible the enema, that the feces may be cleansed from the transverse colon, so as to prevent any temperature.
4. The weakened condition as is produced by this should be stimulated, then, by using every few minutes teaspoonful to two teaspoonsful of burnt Spirits Frumenti, see? taking the same properties in that of the digestive sediments in the form of the pepsin often in small quantities, see? until the stomach and intestines respond to this condition, see?
5. Well if the feet and limbs be bathed in very warm water, to increase the circulation in this portion of system, putting mustard in water when same is done, see?
6. Well, too, that across the intestine and lower bowel, where these troubles show in the walls of intestine, that hot applications, with flannel cloths wrung out of olive oil be applied to the system, see?
7. Do that. We will find we will bring the better conditions for system, being very careful with the diet, as has been outlined for the body, see?
8. The condition for the intestine, when the bowels fail to act in their normal manner, give high enema of oil, see? using the tubes as give high enema for same, using the Usoline or Nujol for such an enema, see?
9. (Q) [By GC] What quantity?
   (A) Do not use this when the system is in such condition as in the present, see? using about a half a pint at the time, see?
