TEXT

GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
EC: Salt Lake City - it's a new cycle!
Yes, we have the body here, [3802].
Here as we find, might be an interesting study of psychological and pathological conditions that bring about developments into the material world of entities such as this.
It would be well for students of psychology and psychiatry to study such conditions.
There is little as we find that may be done from a pathological nature for this body. True, there might be added those applications to prolong the experience of the entity in this material world, yet if there is the application of the tenets of truth, this would be more of a punishment to the entity than anything else.
Then only care, love, attention; administering to the needs of the body-physical to bring the greater ease, the greater comfort to the body.
The experience will be in the application of those tenets helpful to the entity, and the passage through materiality will give a cause or a purpose for its re-entrance under a different environment or tenantry in a physical organism.
We would not offer other than just patience, just kindness, just that which will bring the greater ease or comfort to the physical needs of the entity now called [3802].
Ready for questions.
(Q) Can you state the cause of the condition?
(A) This would best be left as it is, unless there is to be a study of such by those who may do something about it. Little can be done in the present other than that indicated.
(Q) Should we leave him where he is?
(A) He is receiving care and attention, and the more of this that is administered to make an awareness of help being given to the mental and physical entity, not as a body, the better it will be for the entity.
It will not be many moons before it will pass, if there is the better administration to the physical being.
(Q) Is it safe for the parents to have another child?
(A) This had best be given to the parents as they seek same. Yes - this would be safe, if there is the mental and spiritual preparation by the parents for such an event.
We are through with this reading.

BACKGROUND

2/21/44 Letter from [3802]'s grandmother giving case history: "...The child was born defective - tongue protruding, eyes slanted inward, rather long, large head. He had measles, chicken pox and intestinal flu before he was one year old. He has never walked or crawled and cannot sit up. He has been fed vitamins, thyroid and iodine from birth under the direction of a physician. It always has been very hard to feed him, and still is. All medication has now been stopped, because it upsets his stomach. He smiles and seems happy, but that is all. He does take milk and vegetables. Specialists in Denver, Salt Lake City and Provo examined him and called it Mongolian Idiocy. Denver specialists gave him six years to live..."

REPORTS

3/21/44 GD's note: You might be interested in the compilation of material we have on Child Training, which deals partly with the necessary preparation of parents even before conception takes place. We are sending it under separate cover.
3/27/44 Grandmother's letter: "The reading for [3802] came today, for which we thank you... The material on 'Child Training' has not yet arrived - hardly time yet - but I am sure my daughter will be grateful for it and I shall send it on to her. She will also be glad to know that it will be safe to have another child, as that is their wish. (They have an older boy who is a fine specimen in every way, and there is no trace of such a condition in any of the families.)"
