In those activities of the mental body, as we find, the body
itself is a MEDIUM of those forces as may be made manifest
in the material world from those sources that have to do
with both the mental places and mental aspects, as well as
those of the forces as may manifest themselves through the
consciousness of individualities and personalities, as are
occupying the various spheres and planes IN the earth, ABOUT
the earth. This often becomes confusing to the body, both on
account of those indecisions as to the IDEALS of the body -
not ideas, ideals! for had the body made its own decision
as to that of its IDEAL, then it would NOT be swayed from
its opinions by the varied forms of manifestations as have
presented themselves, as do present themselves TO the body,
THROUGH the various aspects of its relationships to life;
for being ungrounded as to its ideal, a vision here, a vision
there, that makes for incoordination of the ideas as have
been set by this body, Mrs. Bertha Gorman [
3871] [see 3871-1,
Par. B1] we are speaking of, produces those things that
become HARD to be coordinated in the mental reservations
of the body, and brings in the physical - THROUGH these
incoordinations - those of feelings of oppression, of
loneliness, of suddenly surrounded with those various
feelings of that those about the body are pulling here, would
induce or force the body there, into that way of thinking,
that way of manifesting its abilities that are not in
accord with that which makes for peace, harmony, coordinated
forces of a divine ruling of the forces, which is the common
heritage of every entity, of every individual, who - through
their OWN personality may make for the reflection in the
deeds OF the body, in the visions OF the imaginative body,
in the thoughts of the mental body, of the continuity of LIFE
and development itself; for God BEING life, spirit in action,
not that which is created by man's ideas, or even man's
ideals, but IS man's highest ideal, that came into the
earth through those offices of the flesh, that all who WOULD
look unto Him might have that consciousness from within
theirselves that they, the individual, had an advocate with
the Father, and might approach that throne of grace and
mercy, and understanding, and goodness, and light, and
awakening, with the feeling that there IS a place for them
in that Presence, and that they will not be denied that as is
necessary for the awakening of their souls to the knowledge
of His presence dwelling within them. That there are other
influences that are abroad in the earth is evidenced to
all by the disappointments, the lost hopes, the indecisions
of friends, the falseness of the associations of those in
the earth that become the material-minded, stumble over
themselves into darkness; yet these are but the heritages of
flesh itself, and the mental body being capable of raising
those vibrations within the flesh itself may put aside those
things that so easily beset, and [run] one with faith, with
hope, that NECESSARY way that is set before each and every
one who have NAMED the Name of the Son, for those who call
upon Him shall in no wise lose their reward; PROVIDED the
trust is put in Him and not in those ideas, those thoughts
of individuals, rather than Him who has PREPARED the way.
In those things as come through those of individuals, who in
their weakness are held about the earth, and who seek here
and there that they may gain a hold as a stepping-stone to
that which will bring an awakening to them, or that will drag
individuals to companionships; yet will every child who has
named the Name but know that the CONTINUITY of life is in HIM
ONLY, and those that climb up some other way are but thieves
and robbers. Those that look for the glory in Him, those
that seek to know His counsel, may HAVE same, through that
faith that passeth all understanding, that faith as brought
worlds into being, that faith that creates within the
body-physical those elements that may rebuild, may replenish
the whole of the physical forces, those that through the
faith in life itself may make for a new blood stream, the
issue OF the physical life. THIS, then, IS that which should
be the ideal OF this body, "In Him will I put my trust, as
to open the way that I may have a better insight as to what
He would have me do, day by day. In the relationships with
individuals about them, with the individuals who have known
them best, with the individuals whom I may meet only in
the passing, will there be seen by those even who run, that
the Christ spirit hath awakened the body-consciousness, the
mental forces of the body itself. Ready for questions.
(Q) Would it be advisable for me to sell my home or not? or
shall I wait?
(A) This is to be considered from more than ONE angle.
There are necessities that would bring that, that would
APPEAR in the first to be the better conditions to become at
the present time. There are also those conditions as exist
in the FINANCIAL or material world, that makes it known
to the body that at the present period is a very POOR time
in which such a sale, or such a disposition may be made in
the best advantageous way to the body, from the material
standpoint. As WE find, the necessities in the present do
not so overweigh that it would NOT - and that it would NOT
cause this to be brought about IMMEDIATELY, but that in the
near future - or with the changing of the economic conditions
in the material world, in the change of conditions as
SURROUND the home and its environs, would be the better
time - in March or April would be better.
(Q) What should I do for the pains at lower part of brain
and small of back?
(A) As has been indicated, in the physical body there are
conditions that bring about AGGRAVATING effects to the body.
These are both of a PHYSICAL and of an OPPRESSIVE nature,
from the spiritual or mental from without. See? WE would
find this, that when the pain across the small of back -
which is from congested forces there, which makes pressures
at times on the bladder and the kidney activity itself - were
there PACKS, or saturated solutions of Epsom Salts applied
to same, in heavy packs, this would bring an ease to the body
that would be much less detrimental than those things that
have been taken internally for same that DEADENS the body
without allowing the physical forces of same to respond in
NATURE'S manner of ADJUSTING physical conditions for the
body. At the periods when this is done, the applications
made (these should be applied as hot as possible, see, across
lower portion), we would apply cold packs at the base of the
brain at the same period - this would bring much relief.
In the things that will make for the ELIMINATION of these
conditions from the body is, as of old, as is known innately
within self, that can that consciousness be raised within
self of the body seeing itself physically WELL, STRONG,
able to resist, the body would be capable of BUILDING that
NECESSARY resistance, that necessary reserve energy and
force to OVERCOME the physical conditions of the body.
Would be well also at periods, say once to twice each week,
for a period of two or three weeks, for the body to have
that as may be called the Swedish massage, following those
of the sweat baths and rub-downs - see? This will STIMULATE
the EXTERNAL circulation and make for better coordination
between the ELIMINATING systems, and keep as far from those
properties that deaden but do not relieve the causes. These,
to be sure, must be battles WITHIN SELF - but put more and
more the trust in Him who is the AUTHOR of life, who IS the
FOUNDATION of life; for in Him we live, and move, and have
our being. DO NOT REBEL, but know His loving-kindness, His
mercies, endureth forever.
(Q) Will this condition be permanently corrected?
(A) As has been outlined, this may be permanently corrected,
following these lines or these suggestions.
(Q) Is this the opportune time to make the investments which
I contemplate making next Monday?
(A) This an opportune time for making investments that are
to be held for a period. For those that are to be changed
soon, NOT an opportune time. Where investments are such as
are being considered, these are well.
(Q) Will I ever get back the large loan which I have out?
(A) The greater portion of same, as we find, may be expected
to be returned when conditions economically and financially
have been somewhat adjusted, or by the middle or latter
portion of thirty-two.
(Q) Is it advisable to take a trip which I have been
contemplating?
(A) We would feel that this would be MORE advisable to be
taken when at least two or three weeks of the applications,
as have been suggested for the physical adjustments, have
been completed. Then we would find that even WITH those
contemplated associations as are considered through the
trip itself, would be MUCH bettered in every way.
(Q) Just when should I go?
(A) As given, when these conditions have been relieved, as
we find they WILL be by following these suggestions.
Using the applications, see, setting up that stimuli through
the eliminations, and keeping - or fighting that fight as is
necessary to bring a normal balance here.
(Q) Should the sweat baths be taken before the massage or
after?
(A) Sweat baths be taken before, for THIS will relax the
body, not only superficially but so that the manipulations,
or masseuse, or massage as is given, will strike deeper
to the structural portions, to those of the ligaments and
muscular forces deeper within, that needs that relaxation,
and the oils as will be given with the massage so these are
open for their reception - see?
(Q) Will my sister recover from her illness?
(A) We don't find the sister.
(Q) Any other advice for this body at this time?
(A) In gaining that understanding as necessary for the
body-mind to set its ideal, there - as has been given - are
many combative forces; but let that mind be in thee as was
in Him, "HERE am I, 0 God, use me in thy service. May the
meditations of my heart, day by day, be in accord with that
Thou would have me do, in body and in mind."
(Q) Will she recover thoroughly from her illness?
(A) If these are followed, if these are obtained - for
remember, as ye seek, as ye seek, ye shall find. As ye ask,
ye shall receive - and the prayers of many shall be heard,
is the consciousness (?) in Him, rather than in self. We
are through for the present.
