5/05/30 Dr. Lydic's letter to [
3873]'s mother:
Mrs. [...]
..., Missouri
Dear Mrs. [...]
Replying to your letter of May 2nd, I wish to advise that
[
3873]'s treatments call for the wet battery which makes it
necessary that he become a patient at the Cayce Hospital.
The treatments are absolutely painless and without shock to
the system - they are treated from one day old up.
It may be possible for you to get a room at Virginia Beach
and come to the hospital for treatment, but I would advise
you to enter the hospital for a week or two; and look around
in the meantime for a rooming place. At this time of the
year, Virginia Beach being a summer resort, it will probably
be just as economical to stay at the hospital as anywhere
else. Our rooms range from $30.00 to $35.00 per week in
three bed ward, to $50.00 and $55.00 per week for single
rooms with bath. A charge of $20.00 per week is made for
companion. This entitles the patient to room, meals and
nursing car.
The only treatments called for are the adjustments - which
will be given every day at a charge of $2.00 each. No
charge for the wet battery.
As to the results, it will depend entirely upon the response
of the patient to treatment and we would be unable to judge
until he has been here under treatment for three or four
weeks.
Hoping this gives you the information desired and that we
will be able to serve you in the near future,
Very sincerely,
Dr. L. A. Lydic LAL:SA
