This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the New Southern Hotel, Parlor J, Columbus, Ohio, this 16th day of July, 1924, in accordance with request made by his wife.

1. EC: Now, we find there are many abnormal conditions with this body, and we find from the physical standpoint this a very, very interesting case, both pathologically and biologically, for the conditions as exist at the present time have been and are of a gradual growth, produced in times back by specific conditions and the system in attempting to alleviate and ward off the conditions has builded about different portions of the functioning system conditions that are interesting from the pathological effect in the body. The conditions at the present have to do with the blood supply, with the digestive tract and the organs of digestion, proceeding from such conditions existing in the pyloric end of the stomach proper.
2. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body, [3895] we are speaking of. First:

IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find there the condition as is one weak in resistive force and one where that the system, in attempting to create that plasm necessary to prevent the inroads of destructive forces, create the great amount of leucocyte in the blood. Hence the white blood forces have little resistance, and with this condition the spleen has become torpid in one side, with a plethora condition in the other end. This we find an interesting condition from the medical or pathological standpoint. In the blood supply then we find there is that lack of vital forces necessary, yet the body in its ability to create that force necessary to combat with conditions shows the vitality of the whole organism of the body.
4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, these we find very good when other conditions are taken into consideration, for we find that only at times for periods do we find the nerve system becomes involved so much in conditions.
5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS, in brain forces the body very good. The long suffering the conditions from the entire condition of body has set the body at times to worry about itself. At others we find the mental forces gaining control and the body sets about to meet the needs of same.
6. In the organs of the sensory system, these we find are submerged to some extent by the lack of nutriment to carry their functioning properly.
7. In the lung forces these are very good, with the consideration as we find of the blood supply.
8. In the stomach proper, we find the condition where the seat or cause of troubles. Here we find that in times back (several years ago) there was taken into the system those properties that became a poison in the system. In this where the first in appearance is the gastric juices reacted in the system, and we produced there the condition that has gradually grown to the present forces. This we find first was as in the lower end of stomach and above the pyloric end. First as ulcerations, then as these were attempted to be helped instead of creating an acid that would react with this that of too strong an alkaline was used. These incensed, as it were, the condition, and it has gradually grown. The effect then has been to all of the organs of digestion taking on a plethoric condition. That is, the pancreas, enlarged, the duodenum is engorged most of the time. The liver and the hepatic circulation high. At times the body is weak and the ulcerations producing in the intestinal tract that of a condition hard to meet. Hence the gradual giving of the vitality of the body to conditions.
9. That which will bring the greatest relief to this body at the present time, we find would be by using and wearing constantly the Radium Applicator, which is bound about the waist or at the solar plexus center and across the abdomen. 10. Taking in the system these properties:
11. Let all of the water taken carry small quantity of elm. Cool water but not cold. Small quantity of elm water and lithia water combined to-gether. That is, a small pinch of ground elm in each glass of water, dissolved or placed in same about five to ten minutes before taking. Lithia tablet in an eight ounce measure of water, in which the quantity that was drank or drunk into the body would be placed the elm. With these we will bring the best conditions for this body at this time. Bring relief and strengthen these. The applicators will be furnished without charge.
12. (Q) Is there a growth or tumor?
    (A) As we have given. There is that condition as we have given, and the enlargement of other glands - not tumors. Ulcerations and engorgement from the inflammation and the condition produced in the body. Use these as we have given. We will bring relief to the body.
