This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of December, 1926, in accordance with request made by her mother, [...] via mother's aunt Mrs. [26].

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the condition you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Now, we find there are those conditions that may be corrected. As is seen, the whole system is involved, and that as is necessary is to build up the resistance in the system and at the same time apply, or cause to be enacted that in the system that retards or prevents inroads in the destructive forces as cause the lungs and blood to become affected by these conditions as have taken hold there.
3. In meeting the needs, then, of the body, this may be accomplished by taking into consideration the present condition of the body, as respect to the eliminating and assimilating forces of the body, for pure red blood in the greatest destroying factor for such conditions, for in this character of blood stream such elements cannot exist.
4. The body became weakened through congestion, and through the inability of the body to eliminate properly. Hence we find the various organs in their present state must be taken into consideration in applying any condition for the improvement of the body, but this may be accomplished through persistent and consistent action towards keeping the proper coordination of elimination and assimilation in this body - for should we allow any portion of the organism to become surcharged, or over stimulated, or under active in its proper functioning, we will find the activity increased, and the condition shifted from one position to another. Hence we find rest, with the normal amount of foods that BUILD rich red blood, the better condition for the body - but this must be kept in a full coordinating condition, else we will produce an excess in some portions, becoming detrimental then to others.
5. To meet the needs, then, we would take such as this: As much of exercise as can well be taken should be taken in the open, for the climatic conditions are very good - though we would not have given such as this in the first elements, but we are taking conditions as they exist at the present time.
6. In foods, as this: As much milk and eggs (raw) as body can well assimilate. As much PURE olive oil each day as system will assimilate - taking this in small quantities. As much WATER as the body can assimilate.
7. Use as an inhalant two different properties. The first may be inhaled at least three to five (3 to 5) times each day, or whenever there is any disturbing condition in throat, bronchials, or nostril, or any coughing or phlegm rising in the throat. This would be prepared in this manner:
8. To four (4) ounces of pure grain alcohol, add:

   Eucalyptol.......................20 minims,
Rectified Creosote, or BETTER
Benzosol......................10 minims, or the
Rectified Creosote................3 minims, see? and
Benzoin..........................10 minims,
Canadian Balsam...................4 minims,
Rectified Oil of Turp.............5 minims,
Extract, or Fluid Extract
Sweet Gum, or of the Tulu.....40 minims.

   Keep solution in glass stoppered container at least twice the size of the quantity. Shake solution together before each inhaling. Inhale at least two to three to five times each time this is inhaled, excluding the air as much as possible, inhaling fumes only, see?
9. Then the inhalant as may be taken as the stimulant for the body, which should be inhaled at least twice each day. Take one gallon of pure apple brandy, and place same in charred container of at least three gallon capacity. Have same prepared in such a way that this may be tightly corked. Put a tube or any kind of an opening into the upper portion of this and keep CLOSE to a fire, or heat, where evaporation goes on. Inhale the fumes or gases as form from this only. Two to three inhalings INTO THE LUNGS will be sufficient, see? This preferably taken evenings and mornings.
10. Rub the spine well each evening, especially across the lower portion of the lungs, with equal parts of Olive Oil and Tincture of Myrrh. Heat the Oil, then pour Myrrh in same, see? Doesn't take a large quantity, but rub the whole length of the spine.
11. Do this consistently, persistently. We will find we will rid the system of these conditions - varying the diet according to the needs of the body. As for the builders, the diet has been very good. Rather that though as we have given would be found improved, and the beef juice may be added as the blood builder. Do not eat the meats so much as the JUICES, see? This will give strength and vitality to the body. Use gruels, whole wheat - not white flour in any form. Do this.
12. We are through for the present.

2. 12/31/26 Mother's letter: "I have failed to get the doctor out there to cooperate with me in regard to her reading (we haven't been able to get either one of the inhalants prepared, so far), but with what I could do to help her and with her diet suggested, she tells me she most surely is improving. I fully believe if I could be with her and administer the prescription myself she would be improving faster, but it seems impossible for me to be with her (the mother was in Ala.). We are going ahead with what can be done without the doctor's help...
