This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 21st day of March, 1944, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [4014], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc.

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes. As we find there are disturbing conditions and these, unless there are measures taken to counteract the disturbances, will become - and are - progressive; gradually losing the control of the muscular forces, and then nerves and tendons through the locomotories.
3. These characters of conditions indicate karmic reaction. Thus individuals must consider the whole entity when considering those things that would be helpful. Thus one must begin with the spiritual attitude of the entity towards life.
4. Do not become sorry for self nor condemning self or others because of the inabilities of the body to carry on as others. Neither become, as it were, as a burden to others because of the condition, but use the mental self in these directions towards creative and constructive thoughts; being a little more longsuffering; using every opportunity to stress this activity not only in self but in the lives and experiences of others.
5. With this beginning of the correct attitude towards the expression of life, then there may be begun the use of material things that may accord with such mental attitudes to create or bring about changes in the physical forces of the body.
6. Here we would use the low Wet Cell Appliance carrying the properties vibratorially into the system of Gold and Camphor. The Appliance would be used for thirty minutes each day, one day carrying the Gold Solution, in the proportions of one grain to each ounce of distilled water - and use three ounces; the next day carrying Spirits of Camphor (commercial strength - and use three ounces).
7. The Appliance should be regular strength; that is, to the gallon and a half of distilled water:

   Copper Sulfate..............1 1/2 pounds,
Sulfuric Acid, C.P..............1 ounce,
Zinc ...........................3 drams,
no Willow Charcoal in this solution, as there needs
to be this variation in the use of this Appliance.

   Do keep the anode very clean. Disconnect from the solutions when not in use, and set up or put in order about twenty minutes before the attachments are made to the body. Also keep the U connections in the solution very clean.
8. Each day the large nickel plate, through which the solution passes vibratorially to the body, would be attached to the lacteal duct and umbilical area, which on this body will be the width of three fingers to the right from the navel center and one finger up from that point.
9. When using the Gold Solution the small plate would be attached to the 4th lumbar center.
10. When using the Camphor Solution, the small plate would be attached to the lower portion of the 9th dorsal.
11. Alternate the attachments in this manner, one day using the Gold Solution, the next day the Camphor Solution and so on.
12. Each day following the Appliance treatment give the body a massage with this combination of oils:

    Peanut Oil......................2 ounces,
Olive Oil.......................2 ounces,
Lanolin (melted)..............1/2 ounce.

    These ingredients should be shaken, pouring a small quantity into a saucer and massaging into the body from the area of the 9th dorsal to the end of the toes, in a circular motion, all the body will absorb each day. Take at least thirty minutes to give the full massage.
13. In the diet keep extra quantities of sea foods and all foods carrying iodine or potash. Soon strawberries should be taken so long as they do not cause a rash on the body. All forms of berries in season should be taken. A great deal of foods of the tuberous and bulbous nature should be taken, rather than the leafy vegetables - though some raw vegetables should be taken daily.
14. Do the first things first. Do not begin the use of the Wet Cell Appliance until the body is sure within itself that it has understood the spiritual attitude in that way not only to be assumed but to be applied in the daily life. Then begin, and we will bring better conditions for the body.

BACKGROUND

1. 10/08/43 "Some time ago my sister [no copy in A.R.E. files] wrote you regarding my physical condition. At that time, I was very weak but since then, I have improved somewhat & am able to get around a little. However, all doctors say I will be subject to these attacks of weakness in the muscles at any time, any of which could be fatal. They have as yet found no cure for this disease and as my condition has steadily become worse, I am determined to let nothing which may help me, go by... I will gladly cooperate in any way and feel sure that somehow, somewhere there is help for me, whether the medium be medical or spiritual."
