GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering questions, as I ask them:
EC: Yes, we have the body here, [4055].
As we find, there are disturbances which arise from a strain and a subluxation caused in the area where the muscles of the scapular or shoulder blade coordinate or work with the nerves of the sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems in the upper dorsal and lower cervical areas.
Thus there is caused a slowing of the activities of the central nervous system to the organs of the chest, or the bronchi and larynx and also in the areas of the soft tissue - as the mastoid and sinus areas of head and face. Thus a temperature is caused or a form of rose fever, or slight fever, that produces that irritation in the bronchi and larynx causing the cough.
Also there is the shortness of breath, and with the activities of walking especially climbing stairs or descending stairs there is asthmatic reaction.
Here we find that the correcting of the conditions in the upper dorsal and cervical areas could preferably be done by the osteopathic or neuropathic applications of massage, and the applying about once a week of the short wave heat through the areas.
Also we would apply Glyco-Thymoline Packs over the face, neck and bronchi, the sinus or nasal area, even around the head and back of the neck, or the mastoid areas. These properties are alkaline-producing and should be used in this manner three to four times a week, or at regular periods.
Beware of sweets in the diet. Beware of carbonated drinks of any kind or of any form of hops, hops products. Refrain from such natures in the body-forces.
Doing these we will bring better conditions for the body.

Dear Mister Edgar Cayce
I have received your reading and thank you for your kindness in giving this reading in spite of your illness. I hope you are better and will continue to improve.
I am going to Dr. Musselman for treatments and am better, but my neck needs lots improvement, but in [him?] this will be.
Also I am using the packs you recommend; but I can not use electric pad for I can not use it with dampness; so I use a hot water bottle. I am improving right along and am very grateful.
Dr. Musselman told me he has had many patients who were sent to him by you and that many stubborn cases had recovered entirely. To his amazement he said he couldn't make out what it is.
