Equal parts Epsom Salts, Cream of Tartar and Sulphur, about
an ounce of each, well mixed together. The dose would be
half a teaspoonful, to a teaspoonful, in water, thoroughly
stirred, once each day - see? three to five days; then
rest an equal period and take another course of same. While
taking this beware of meats, and especially of fish. Rather
those of easily digested, but those that give strength and
vitality to the system; not too much milk either.
The ointments as we would use over or about the abrasion -
preferably massaging same in and about the abrasion, and in
the groin, and the muscular and nerve forces that center from
same - that portion of the limb, see? - those of Resinol,
first bathing off, to be sure, with an antiseptic of
Bichloride - WARM - about one tablet, see - five grain - to
a gallon of water. Don't have it stronger than this, nor
weaker than this - see? Ready for questions. This we
would apply at least twice each day.
(Q) The Resinol to be applied after the antiseptic is used?
(A) After the antiseptic is used, to be sure.
(Q) What caused this condition?
(A) Blood! Then an injury that made the abrasion. We are
through for the present.
