Mr. [...] [Mrs. [

..., Pa.
Dear Father:-
I have just received your letter and am sorry to know that
Mother [
4120] is not better. While here, I have come in
contact with a gentleman, Mr. Edgar Cayce, who possesses
one of the most wonderful God given powers I have ever seen
manifested through man. I have seen some of the wonderful
results accomplished through the following of the Psychic
Readings given by him. Now Dad, you will recall the many
discussions we have had, pro and con, along this line and
I want you to please take my suggestion, for I know what
it will mean to all of us. My first thought was of Mother,
and I see no reason why Mr. Cayce could not be able to tell
Mother just what is wrong and what would be the best way to
effect a cure.
Since Psychic Readings are and have been, in the last few
years, attracting so much attention throughout the world, we
must stop and give due consideration to this step in man's
progress. Further, to see the works being done by Mr. Cayce,
and to see the real spirit he puts into his work, as well
as his desire, not for worldly wealth or fame but to assist
mankind in overcoming physical ailments, is enough to
convince me that he is on God's side.
It is indeed strange, at first thought, to think that Mr.
Cayce could give a reading for a person who, at the time, may
be many miles away, yet these readings being given while in
the subconscious state, or the connection being made between
the conscious and subconscious minds, is in reality only the
result of the adherence to another natural law, which has
been in effect since the beginning of time.
Mr. Cayce will only give a reading when it is desired by the
person for whom it is to be given, or from someone directly
responsible for the physical and spiritual environment of
the body. Talk this over with Mother and fill in the
enclosed application, returning it in time for the reading to
be made on the date and hour noted in the corner of the
application.
As to the price for the readings, he does not make a charge
but because of the strain, he is only able to make two of
these readings in one day, and it being necessary to have
a competent stenographer and an assistant, I am sure
it requires a donation of at least twenty-five or thirty
dollars to meet this expense. This should be sent with
the application. Then, after you see the real results, you
may attempt to pay for the reading but I am sure, from what
I have seen, that the work and its benefits can never be
measured by dollars and cents, and just think what this
will mean to all of us for Mother to regain her health.
Be sure and let me hear from you, as I want to be present
when this is made, if it is possible.
With very best love to all,
Your son, [
