This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 25th day of October, 1932, in accordance with request made by his aunt, Miss [390], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by Helene Zentgraf.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [4140], and those conditions that surround the body. As we find, these conditions have their basic causes in prenatal conditions, both of disposition and that evidenced in the existent incoordination. That this deals in the present with the mental AND physical incoordination is apparent. This also has its inception from much of the mental attitude of individuals, as in the meting out of that which must be met by individuals in their understanding and activity towards those conditions that are or become such as to make for that care and necessity of taking the time, the precaution, that deals with affection, urges, as to relationships, and that expectancy as related to developments in those upon whose activities the body in its present environ must depend.
2. In meeting those conditions in the present, as we find, it would be necessary that there not only be those physical applications of elements from without, that may be added to the system as to make for the preservation of, or the building of those physical conditions that may make towards a changing in the physical condition. Because there has been the condition given that these may not be aided, or that there may be gradually grown that as becomes more and more of an obligation and only in part may there be normalcy, doesn't indicate that there shouldn't be the greater effort on the part of those responsible for the physical body in caring for same; for in patience may ye possess even your souls! With patience may even THIS body gain the development in this particular experience to know the meaning of that soul force that may be expressed or manifested in a material world through the activities of individuals in the material world; hence concerted activity physically, concerted activity in a mental and spiritual manner, may bring much change for the body, much peace for those upon whom the body is dependent; and unless these are to give that consideration, we would not make the material application for those beneficial effects for the physical conditions of the body.
3. Prayer, meditation, together, with, over, for the body, for the spiritual life may be aroused to a greater activity in a developing body - as of [4140] - by the concerted activity of those that are responsible for its entry into this material plane; but TOGETHER! Do not tempt self, nor that to which ye each would pray.
4. As to the material applications, apply the wet appliance - or the low electrical vibrations from the wet applicator carrying the Gold into the system. The plate or anode first attached to the 2nd and 3rd cervical would be the smaller plate. That attached to the 9th and 10th dorsal center last would be the larger plate carrying the Gold.
5. After this has been given in this manner for the first particular charge (and it charges itself; not charged from without - be too great a power), then we would alter these so that the first anode attached would be the smaller at the 4th dorsal, and the other or the larger anode would be attached to the umbilici plexus - this to the upper and right side of the umbilici, or over the lacteal glands, so that that assimilated (after the vibrations have been changed) would be through that vibration from the Gold itself.
6. In such applications, these would be for a period of two to ten minutes each day.
7. As to the diet, this must add to those abilities of the body to make for the structural as well as the flow of the nerve energies in their proper channels. The feedings may be made at two extra periods in the day, and at night when necessary. The diet principally would be that which may be had from the combination of milk (cow's milk) and Mellins Food, or dry Mellins Food, or Mellins Food with water, so that it is changed alternately - see? to make for the proper activity of the assimilating system. That would be a base.
8. We would also give the bean pot liquor, or spinach and tomato pot liquor; the food values that carry a well balancing of all the vitamins necessary.
9. Keep the body - on days that will permit - as much in the sunshine as possible.
10. Evenings, before retiring the body, we would massage thoroughly (after the bath) with equal parts of olive oil and tincture of myrrh along the spine, and along all lines of the structural portions of the body.
11. Do that. After the second or third period of recharging the battery (which should last for twenty-six to thirty-one days) we would give further instructions.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) Why is the child suffering this disharmony in his body?
    (A) Meeting those conditions that have been builded, in that which WAS made by self; also answering to that necessary for the activity of the bodies that brought it into being. This may be answered in that as was asked of Him, "Who sinned that this man was born blind; his parents or this man?" Neither, in that sense, "But that the glory of God may be made manifest before you." IN this we find the meeting of that condition merited, then, that there may be manifest in the lives of those that might minister to the needs of the body that concept they have of the glory of the Father in His activity in and among men in the earth today!
14. (Q) What is the lesson the parents should learn from this experience?
    (A) Patience! for in patience possess ye your souls!

1. 10/26/32 EC's letter to aunt, Miss [390]:
   Dear Miss [390]:
   Through Mrs. Zentgraf we received your request for the reading for your nephew, [4140] and we are enclosing a copy of the information obtained. From this I realize it is necessary for you to get the wholehearted cooperation of the parents of the little fellow, if you are to bring any permanent good at all. Should you desire to have the battery made up, you would have to get in touch with Mr. Gray Salter, Route 2, Box 20, Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The charge for this type of battery, I believe, is around $20.
   I would certainly like to know the decision in the matter. Mrs. Zentgraf will be glad to explain any portion of this, I am sure, and should there be any questions you would like to ask us, please don't hesitate to let us hear from you.
