This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at Phillips Hotel, Room 115, Dayton, Ohio, this 30th day of April, 1924, in accordance with request made by self - [4202].

1. EC: Now, we find there are many conditions in the body that are abnormal, and they have to do with specific conditions and the effect this, with the normal conditions attempting to adjust themselves in the body, producing other abnormal conditions. The condition has to do do with the elimination and how this affects the physical body, and with the condition in the pelvis and of the genital organs adjusting themselves to the conditions.
2. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body, [4202] we are speaking of. First:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, there is carried in this supply those toxins as created in the system both by nerve strain and by the toxins that come from auto-intoxication, produced in intestinal tract, especially in colon proper.
4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find there are conditions in the pelvis and in the vagina proper where lacerations to the womb in times back, with the nerve strain in the system adjusting itself to the age and the conditions that come to the sex at this time, that is producing a strain on the nerve system, and is part cause of the condition in intestinal tract, and the lack of secretions being given to properly eliminate faeces from the system, for with the inflammation as created by both conditions the secretions are absorbed in the system and toxins taken in the blood supply as removed from tissue by white blood leucocyte forces and of the lymphatic circulation. This produces in its reaction the pains to the head, the dull tired feeling in lower extremities, and with the reverse reaction of the nerve system at the periods produces an abundance or overflow of the menses proper. This in the condition then producing irritation. All produced then we find by the lesion in uterus proper and in the vagina wall to the left side. In the action then over the system these other conditions assist. The cause then of the system being congested is from these conditions and the lack of the body being able to meet the strain produced in the physical.
5. THE FUNCTIONING ORGANS, all showing the strain under which this places the system, as is shown in the liver and kidneys especially, for inflammation is produced in the bladder and this gives a strain again on the body and causes the system to form, as it were, a form of congestion that enters the lesions in this intestinal tract, and this also gives the effect in the sternum proper, for the condition in the valve of the sternum shows how this is being affected.
6. R E L I E F, then, to give the best to this system, we will have to have both local treatment for the condition to produce elimination proper in the system.
7. For the condition then in the vagina, use the violet ray and that electrode that would be inserted in the vagina for two minutes each evening, and the condition in the rectum we would apply the salve made of this: Take butterfat, six ounces, reducing into the oil of butterfat, without any salt, and add ground tobacco until the salve is a thin solution, and apply to the protruding parts and insert in the rectum as far as possible, using the high enema to cleanse the system, and with last water used let that be rather cool than luke warm, that the inflammation may be removed from the system. The enemas would only be taken every three to five days and not when the condition is severe in the rectum.
8. The diet should consist, principally, of whole wheat and green vegetable matter. No meats.
9. Taking for the constitutional condition and to adjust the system, these properties: To one gallon of rain water add:

   Sarsaparilla.................2 ounces,
Wild Cherry Bark.............2 ounces,
Sanguinaria Bark.............2 ounces,
Yellow Dock Root.............2 ounces,
mandrake Root...............40 grains,
Buchu Leaves................15 grains,
Elder Flower.................4 ounces.

   Reduce by simmering (not boiling) to one quart. Strain while warm. Add six ounces of grain alcohol, with two drams Balm of Gilead put in solution.
10. The dose would be tablespoonful three times each day.
11. Do this. Be persistent with the applications, and do not use the salve or lotion after portions of the rectum are healed, but do use the high injections and enemas until the lower intestines are in proper condition.
12. We will find we will bring the normal conditions for this body.
