IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, in this we find this complication is
manifested, even in the effect as is produced, or there are
many portions of this body that turn into the fluids of the
system, rather than coming through its normal channels, and
inflammation is shown directly in the producing or in the
effective glands in the system as function from the blood
supply. See? That is, in the emunctories and in the
lymphatics the greater distresses are shown through the
complications, for, as the lymphatic is as of the secretive
fluids, and as it takes of its elements from the blood supply
in its highest forces or last analysis, we find so much of
this coming in various portions of the system as to cause
distress, when these form in pockets, or when the attack, as
it were, or find lodgement in various portions of the system
- as the distress is seen at the present time in the internal
organs, about the adrenal gland here - that is, above the
kidneys, see? and this causes this distress through this
portion of the system, while the direct cause or seat of
that producing this condition is in the ganglions above this
portion, or those of the 10th and 9th dorsal. Reflexly,
this produces then this condition, and irritation to the
mesenteric system only adds fire or fuel to the condition,
rather than correcting same, causing same to be diffused
through various portions of the system.
IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, with this deflection, and with this
subluxation, we find there are many centers, there are many
portions of the body, where soreness comes, that is of a
reflex nature - keeps coming to the form of that condition
of swelling in various portions that produce an over taxation
and a depletion of nerve energy, such as is seen in the upper
portion of the pulmonaries, or the distress as is caused from
that congestion as was produced in times back in the lungs,
through cold. Now with this diffusion of the blood, and
of the lymphatics, this we find gives a distress. This
is not an organic condition, but a functional, produced
by irritation of subluxated nerve reaction and of the
poor eliminations through the system.
IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS, as may be well seen, all
of these are under distress from this condition, varying in
the effects of each as the varying effects of the condition
through the cycle of the functioning of the organ - that is,
there are times when (this as an illustration, rather than
existent condition, though this has existed in the body
lately - in the digestive system) there is any condition
that produces indigestion, whether of the stomach or of the
intestinal system, and an over supply of this secretion goes
to this portion of the body, then the distress comes, with
swelling, through the various portions of abdomen, through
the lower portion of body, then extending to the lower
extremities, to the upper portion of body; thus the ache
comes above the diaphragm and its forces. This gives the
distress to this upper portion, and the torpidity of the
liver being increased by this condition causes distress
throughout.
Now, to overcome or to meet these various conditions in the
body, first we must meet that condition in the mesenteric
system - that is, for the condition existent at the present
moment and time. Meet that in the mesenteric system by
those properties in the system that will allay first the
inflammation, which will be found in properties such as this:
A mild camomile and saffron tea combined, see? Proportion
about one to twenty (1 to 20) of each and this combined,
and then mix with water and cooled. This, as we find,
will reduce inflammation throughout the mesenteric system.
Packs of damp (not ice cloths, but of damp cool cloths) along
the whole of the cerebrospinal system, and especially along
that of the 9th and 10th and 11th dorsal, and across the
abdomen, from the region of the traverse colon. This, as
we find, will reduce the inflammation - not RELIEVING but
REDUCING same, by the change in eliminations produced by
same.
Then, as this is reduced, and as this is used, combine
these with the manipulation, osteopathically given, for the
reduction of temperature through the mesenteric system. Not
sufficient kneading of the intestines as to cause rupture in
any way or manner, but a gentle massage, that the diffusion
of the incentive forces from centers comes over the system,
and not so centralized in various portions where irritation
is shown, see? This will gradually, with the properties in
system, move the bowels in the NORMAL way and manner, with
the foods, keeping in such as those of the junket, of the elm
water, of all of those properties that go to cleanse system,
and soothe same. Small quantities of Magnesia, or Milk of
Magnesia, may be given while this is being applied too. Not
any of the heavy foods. Broths or any strengthening foods
are good for the system.
When this has been reduced then more THOROUGHLY, treat
osteopathically that condition along the cerebro-spinal
system until this is reduced entirely, see? and then
gradually build the body, through the application of the
diet and of the general system, to the normal forces.
Applying later on (as after thirty to thirty-five days) those
vibrations of the Violet Ray over the system to equalize the
whole body, see?
After this has been used for some time, we would apply those
forces in the Radium Appliance to the system. This then will
produce the correct metabolism and katabolism in the system,
see? One is diffusion of forces, the other the elimination
in forces, see?
Do that. We will find we will bring the normal forces
to this body, if these are applied consistently and
persistently.
We are through for the present.
(The Radium Appliance may be ordered from The Radium
Appliance Co., Bradbury Building Los Angeles, California.)
REPORTS
7/27/26 Husband's letter:
Mr. Edgar Cayce
Dear Sir:
I am enclosing to you money order for $10.00 (the best I can
do at this time) for your very good reading on Mrs. [
4204].
Thank you very much for it.
Very truly yours, [

8/10/26 EC's letter to [
4204]'s husband:
Association of National Investigators
Virginia Beach, Virginia
Dear Mr. [...]:
I want to thank you for yours of the 27th, and I am in hopes
that you are seeing the results from carrying out the
suggestions as made in the reading for Mrs. [
4204]. I assure
you it is our desire to be of help if it is possible, and we
would appreciate your letting us hear from you from time to
time. Should occasion arise where you feel that you would
desire to know what the reading would say regarding her
present condition, we shall be glad to see what we could
find.
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
