9/25/25 EC's letter to DEK:
35th Street,
Virginia Beach, Va.
Dear Dave:-
Certainly very sorry I couldn't get this [4234-1] reading
for you last evening, but had just finished with one when I
received your wire, and already had a special on hand for
this morning that I couldn't delay. I'm certainly in hopes
that this reaches you in time to be worth something to this
good lady, though it seems like from this that its quite
serious. If I remember correctly, this same prescription
was given for someone in Birmingham for something like the
similar conditions as described here. They had some time
getting a doctor to prescribe or write the prescription for
this, but it was finally written by one of the best ones
there, and he told me himself, personally, that it was the
most remarkable reaction, the most satisfactory results
that he had ever seen in anything. I certainly hope this can
be gotten alright. Be sure and let me hear about how she
gets along and have them make up the list of questions for
the next reading.
We have certainly been very busy trying to get straight
since we moved. Have hardly gotten started on the work
as yet, and are something like twenty-five or thirty, maybe
more, behind with our readings at present. So you know how
it is when one comes in that's special.
I understand from Morton that you have already shipped the
stuff [Davenport suite for living room]. I wonder if you
shipped it from the high point factory, or from where. Be
sure and let me know about this, send me a bill of lading if
it's possible, unless you shipped it according to the first
directions and if you did that I suppose the bill of lading
was sent to Van Patten. How is your Mother? Why can't you
make it by here when you're going back and forth to some of
the factories in Carolina? Can't be but little bit out of
your way. Certainly like to see you and talk with you. Let
me hear from you whenever possible. Please remember me to
your Mother and the folks. With best from all,
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
