3/09/25 Dr. Al. C. Layne's letter: "...I am very anxious
to have you go over the case of [
4280] again. She has been
here taking treatment and the hot oil pack every day, as you
directed, since January 2nd. I don't see any improvement
in her condition, and the lump in her side, or rather around
the navel, just a little to the right of the navel, has not
decreased any. She has constant pain all along her spine,
and has had four attacks of diarrhea in the last month. She
is very blue over her condition and worries so because she
doesn't improve. She is taking the ragweed and olive oil as
you directed. I thought that perhaps too much ragweed caused
the diarrhea. Please go over her case carefully and fully,
describing the lump in her bowels, where located, if in the
colon or small intestines, or the duodenum, or peritoneum.
Is it a growth or just a thickening of the tissues? Or just
an impact condition either in the ascending or transverse
colon? Is there any obstruction in her gall bladder or
liver? How is the lymphatic circulation? Has she a rib
lesion at the 5th rib on the left side? If so, how to
correct it? Please tell me if the hot packs, of a wet
flannel wrung out of water, wouldn't do for her side now?
The hot oil seems to bake the skin and she worries about
that, afraid that it will cook the tissues. What kind of
diet would be most beneficial for her? Please name what
fruits and vegetables would help her most. Please let me
hear from you soon as possible, as I am very anxious to see
what can be done for Mrs. [
4280]..."
REPORTS
3/16/25 Dr. A. C. Layne's letter (requesting a check-physical
for Mrs. [
4280]'s little daughter, [
4281]): "...We expect to
carry out suggestions as closely as possible. I think the
reading [4280-5] fits the condition very well indeed. Please
tell me where we can secure the Alpine ray of which you
wrote. Is it an electrical treatment? Is it a vibrator?
...I'll keep you informed about Mrs. [
4280]'s condition, as
we are doing everything in our power to relieve her..."
8/12/25 Husband [
4283]'s letter (requesting a check-physical
for his little daughter [
4281]): "...I have wanted to write
you and send an offering for some time, but Mrs. [
4280], as
you know, has been sick a year now, is very little better,
and I have tried expensive treatments; and gave up my road
position to be at home, so I haven't been in a position to
send you an offering. I trust you will understand how it is
and has been with me for the past 12 months. I am going into
business for myself in September, then I'm hoping I can
really send you an offering some time soon. I am enclosing
a small offering now, which is all I can spare at this
time..."
9/05/25 Mrs. [
4280] requested
4281-7 for her little daughter.
