Edgar Cayce Readings, 4283-3

(Physical Suggestion)

EC: This we have had here before. The body is still under the strain of the nerve centers, as has been given. The impingements have not as yet been corrected. Well that these be removed by the deep manipulation for the whole of the cerebrospinal nerve system. When these are corrected and the body is in the condition that the mental forces may act in conjunction with the relieved centers, the body will bring itself to the normal conditions. These we find, especially the centers, or the major conditions, are in the 3rd to 5th cervical, the 5th to 8th dorsal, the 2nd and 4th lumbar, and the nerve condition in body radiates from these. Correct these by the manipulation, and be consistent with the diet, and the body will come to the normal conditions. [GD's note: His brother-in-law [Al C. Layne, D.O.] was an osteopath, living in the same town. I wonder why the corrections had not been made.]

11/03/23 He obtained 4283-2 for after effects of flu, neurasthenia, toxemia, etc.
9/07/24 Wife [4280] submitted questions: "He is very nervous and doesn't sleep well. One physician thinks his nervous condition is due to so much traveling. Is this harmful? Is coffee or tobacco harmful to him? He is greatly underweight at present. Please give tr. and diet he needs to be well again and not nervous."

11/29/24 Wife [4280]'s letter: "...Mr. [4283] is improving now. He is taking a tonic with Tincture Nux-Vomica and Tincture Ignatia, Amara, Tincture Cinchona, Tincture Matricaria, Tincture Gentian, Tincture Columbo, Tincture Phosphorous C.P., Tincture Aromatics, and 61% Alcohol. Dose: 10 drops twice each day. Now, Mr. Cayce, I do not believe that this is helping him. I think it is the osteopathic treatment that has helped him. Some 'M.D.' has prescribed this tonic, also, and he has been taking it a month or more. Please see if the tonic will harm him in any way. Dr. Layne thinks it not good for his heart.
"You can see about this any time you have an opportunity, but I would like to know as soon as possible, because Mr. [4283] will do whatever YOU say is best for him! Is there any tonic or medicine he needs? Please see and let us know. He will be at home every Sunday... Please get his reading as soon as you can as I am very anxious to know about this tonic.
"Now, I am expecting to send you an offering for your many kindnesses to us. Of course, we can never really repay you, but in a few weeks we will have everything in shape so we can send you something. This has been such a hard year for us, since Mr. [4283] has had to lose six months' time on account of his and my illness. He lost the three spring months on account of his illness, you remember. He took treatment as you suggested and improved..."
