This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at Phillips Hotel, Room 115, Dayton, Ohio, this 30th day of January, 1924, in accordance with request made by self - [4306].

1. EC: Now, while we find the physical forces within this body very good, there are abnormal conditions that may be corrected in the physical. They have to do with the blood supply in the system. Also with specific conditions that exist that give distress to the system through the specific condition with its effect upon the body, and the cause or prevention of the conditions becoming normal.
2. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body, [4306] we are speaking of, present in this room. First:

IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find that bacilli carried in the system of the formation that gives the forces inflammation and prevents the perfect coagulation in portions of the system, and causes the condition that produces the distress through the pelvic region, and the high hepatic circulation with the blood pressure, and with the forces that prevent the perfect elimination in the system giving distress to the organs at times that function through the emunctory forces, especially those in the liver and kidneys.
4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find as in this:

In the sacral region, and in the lower portion of the lumbars, we find this specific condition caused by distress or pressure from exterior portions in times back, until the nerve ends and ligaments where the wrench in muscular forces prevent the perfect functioning of the locomotaries and all ganglions. This, we see, is the specific condition as is given.

In the cerebro-spinal nerve system the lower branches give this distress, and with condition in blood supply prevent the perfect coagulation, or of healing properties for elimination of used forces as carried by circulation and controlled by the lower nerve system in body keeps or prevents the condition from becoming to the normal forces.
7. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS, we find as these:
8. In the brain forces, very good.
9. Organs of sensory system become involved sympathetically from conditions in the sacral and lumbar regions, and at times produces some reflex pains to head and in the functioning of organs of sensory system.
10. Lungs, larynx, bronchials very good.
11. Digestive tract good in upper portion. Through liver, pancreas and the upper portion of intestinal tract we find that condition produced by the reflex from sacral region that causes the distress and condition through these organs. Not organically, dis-arranged or abnormal. In the region of the lumbar and the sacral we find the specific condition as causes the distress and the action as of those of the neurotic pains to the locomotary nerves, and to the sciatic nerve and ganglion in particular, so -
12. To give the relief to these conditions, and to bring the body to the normal forces, take those properties in the system that will correct the blood supply and create perfect coagulation in the system. Take this:
13. To one gallon of rain water, add:

    Sarsaparilla Root............2 ounces,
Wild Cherry Bark.............1 ounce,
Yellow Dock Root.............2 ounces,
Burdock Root.................2 ounces,
Black Root...................2 ounces,
Elder Flower.................2 ounces,
Mandrake Root...............15 grains,
Buchu Leaves................10 grains.

14. Reduce by simmering (not boiling) to one quart. Strain while warm, and add three drams of Balsam of Tolu in four ounces of grain alcohol. The dose shall be two teaspoonsful four times each day, before meals and on retiring.
15. Let the diet be not so much of meats, but rather of vegetable matter.
16. Correct the condition in the sacral and lumbar region by deep manipulation, osteopathically better than chiropractically, though either if used correctly might effect the correction. The muscles and tissue need the massage, and to force elimination more than the adjustments.
17. Do this, and we will find within six to eight weeks the body will be perfectly normal.
18. The treatments for the adjustments or manipulation should be given every three days for at least ten treatments.
