Mr. [...]
New York City
Dear Mr. [...]
I am in receipt of yours of the 23rd, with enclosure, for
which I thank you very much. You did not say regarding the
reading. I presume, however, it must have impressed you
somewhat, as you request one on another member of your family
(I presume). I wish I could make the appointment for this
immediately, but the first opening we have is the afternoon
of the 24th. If this is satisfactory, we shall be glad to
take this up.
I don't know to whom you carried the little girl for
examination, but there is a young man who has recently become
somewhat interested in the phenomena, that I would like very
much for you to let examine the child - Dr. Joseph L.
Rothfeder, whose address after the first, I believe, is 580
East 139th Street. Possibly Mr. Kahn can give his address.
Again thanking you, and trusting that we may be of service,
I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
P.S. Have you had the opportunity to see my friend Mr.
Blumenthal? EC
1/01/27 EC's ltr. to DEK: "Have you seen your friend
[[
4309]'s father] since he got his [her?] reading? His
sister came out again for the reading, and she seemed very
enthusiastic about it when it was given - said it was
absolutely the child's condition, including conditions at
birth and all. He made no comment when he acknowledged
receipt of same, but asked for an appointment on another
member of his family (I suppose it was). I asked him,
however, to let Dr. Rothfeder examine the child. However, it
is osteopathy and not medicine that is needed - according to
the reading. Naturally, through that case, there have been
several out to see us from Norfolk - possibly there are one
or two other appointments on hand, but the two in Norfolk
that have been given seem to have been entirely satisfactory
to the family, and if Dr. Rothfeder were here and in the
position to carry out the instructions, they would be ready
for one of them to enter the institution the other one to
take treatment, and would begin at once..."
