(Q) Yes, all right. Now I want you to go over him
carefully, examine him thoroughly and tell us what is the
matter with him, if anything.
(A) Yes, we have a good deal of trouble along there with
this system: Along the spine, through the nervous system,
through the circulation, through the digestive organs,
inflammation around and through the pelvis, trouble with the
kidney, a little inflammation in the bladder. It seems that
it all starts from the digestive organs or from the lack of
secretion here, from the pancreas and liver throwing out
the trouble and reflex from that which produces the trouble,
of the spleenic action to the blood supply, to supply to the
respiratory organs, you see; outside in the skin itself, to
throw off the waste matter from the system. And you see it
[the waste matter] is thrown off through breathing in of the
air, through the kidney and respiratory organs, the refused
or used up matter in the system, we have this here in the
system of [
4332].
It produces then to this system, in this system itself, a
dryness in the skin, an aching of the lymphatics, in the
arms, along the leg, especially; we have it under the knee
(under side of the leg) and stretchy when he gets up; a pain
in the arm, between the shoulders, back of the head. A
dryness or gathering of these forces produces this in the
system - an action from the trouble, not the trouble itself.
This is caused from the lack of nourishment in the blood to
supply to the lymphatics a proper amount of nourishment or
white blood in the system to rebuild these forces as they are
being used up in throwing off the overcharge through the
lungs from the air taken in here. We have an acid-producing
inflammation through the lower part here in the limbs and
through the pelvis. The stomach refuses to digest what is
taken into it and that produces the rest of the trouble in
the system here of [
4332].
We have a reflex that affects the system, especially, where
it goes up to the lung, throwing off from it any trouble in
the lung. This produces a choking up, a tickling in the
throat, a rush up in the lung, throwing off the discharge
here; and a deep cough at times, he does not cough all the
time. This tickling in the throat produces the cough where
it goes out.
(Q) What treatment would you recommend to relieve these
conditions and to relieve the real cause?
(A) We have some inflammation through there. First take
into the stomach something here to get the stomach in a
better shape.
(Q) Well, what would that be?
(A) Cleanse the stomach first. Drink plenty of water at all
times. Drink more water, more than you have been doing, pure
water when we drink it. And then we will take something to
reach this trouble that we have through the kidney, to help
throw off this discharge until we can equalize the secretions
that gather from the secretions of the liver: Sweet Spirits
of Nitre, Oil of Juniper for the kidney. That is, after we
have cleansed the stomach, not with it in the present
condition or we will have a reaction from the inflammation
within.
We will have vibration along the spine, not so the
manipulation is along the spine but vibration all the way up
and down, from the shoulders down; not too close to the
brain. And these pains will relax.
When you awake from a natural sleep, get up, get plenty of
fresh air, fill the lungs to help throw off this discharge
here.
Tone the stomach with something - Sugar, Sage and Gin; not
too much Gin for the digestion, you see, until we can tone
the stomach until it is enough that you can take into it what
we need and digest it properly.
For the blood we will have Iron and Calcium.
These should tone the whole system, get it in better
condition.
BACKGROUND
GD's note: This case is quoted in Thomas Sugrue's THERE IS
A RIVER on pp 29--32 of the paperback, but it is not the one
witnessed by Dr. Munsterberg. We don't seem to have a copy
of that one.
REPORTS
7/01/40 GD's note: In going over some of these early readings
with Edgar Cayce, to list those people to whom HLC could
write for a report (using me as steno), he told me there was
no use to write this one - that Mr. [
4332] had some years ago
committed suicide.
