This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 1st day of April, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4334].

Present: Edgar Cayce; Gertrude Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the improvement of same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. This we have had here before, you see.
3. Now, we do not find that the general conditions throughout this body are improved from that as we have had here before, for in fact we find a great many conditions such as we have had before, and the effect of this condition in the system has gradually given the body little, little, resistance in the system, and, this resistance being reduced, little by little the whole general body, mentally, physically becomes weaker in the abilities to throw off. While we find there are periods and times that the body feels much better; yet, for the present conditions, we would give as this:

Take these properties now, internally, and also we would, through the osteopathic or chiropractic manner, make those adjustments in the cerebrospinal nerve centers, that will give the eliminations, especially, of the mesenteric system, the ability to eliminate through their proper and normal channels of the intestinal tract, also stimulate the condition of the circulation throughout the exterior portion of body, relieving through same the pressure as is produced on the heart's action, the lungs, and the depression as comes to the body in general. These as the medicinal properties now:
5. To 1/2 gallon of rain water, add plain garden sage 6 ounces. Reduce by simmering to 1 quart. Strain while warm and add this:

   Tincture Valerian................1/4 ounce,
Elixia Calisaya..................1/2 ounce,
Syrup of Sarsaparilla............1/2 ounce,
Plain Simple Syrup (peptonized)....3 ounces,
Grain Alcohol (pure)...............2 ounces,
Syrup of Squill..................1/4 ounce.

   Shake this solution well together each time before the dose is taken. We would take from half to teaspoonful four times each day.
6. Be careful of the diet. That is, never overload the system, see. Never take food when the body is angry, worried, or over-heated. Never stir too quick (that is, too violent exercise or action) just after eating.
7. Take these properties while the conditions are being corrected in the system, and afterward. It should not be necessary for more than 10 to 13 adjustments or treatments for the correction of conditions in the cerebrospinal system.
8. Do that. We will find the greater relief, the greater conditions being accorded the system, that will give the better functioning of the system throughout.
9. We are through for the present.

1. 3/22/26 [4334]'s letter: "...In view of the fact that I had you to give me a reading about two years ago and was unable to ever secure the medicine you prescribed, (although Mr. [...] [the druggist] said he tried faithfully for weeks and weeks to do so) and as I do not improve and the doctors do not help me I am appealing to you once more for help. In moving your prescription was lost and while I considered them very valuable, after trying so hard to get it filled, I just gave up in despair and considered my ten dollars thrown away. Mrs. [3712] has faith in your ability and has asked me to write you again and I am writing in all sincerity seeking help if it is God's good will that I may receive it through you. If you feel it your duty as a Christian and if your power is from God to be enabled to discern these things I will greatly appreciate your help. I am enclosing $2.00 not to repay you but to let you know that I am trying to show you that I am striving to do what I think is fair and honest. If you see that it is just, please write me what day you can give me a reading - if otherwise just return to me. Praying that you work may result in blessings to suffering humanity through Christ's Name..."
