TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Now, we find there have been many complications in the conditions as exist with this body, and these conditions have brought about that wherein the effects, rather than conditions, have been tried to be assisted. Much has been done for same that is good. Some conditions need the correction at the present time. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body. First:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find overcharged by drosses from the system, through the improper functioning of organs and the temperature as is produced, and the low pulsation in same is from these conditions and presents much pain at times in portion of the body.
4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this overtaxed. Hence the nausea as is produced is rather from nerve reaction than from the conditions attributed to.
5. The conditions in the organs of the system themselves show the stress and strain under which the system labors, for we find as these conditions throughout.
6. The pressure as produced on the circulation to the brain is from temperature.
7. The condition as is produced in throat, bronchials and larynx, from lack of eliminations through the pulmonaries and the over stimulation to the capillary circulation.
8. The conditions as exist in the digestive system proper is lack of the emptying of the ducts and of the duodenum proper. Hence the aggravated condition as exists in spleen, in pancreas, in kidney, and with the liver engorged by the temperature and by the improper excretory functioning in same.
9. The mesenteric system shows inflammation throughout the entire alimentary canal, and from this overtaxing the kidneys give that depression in the system that causes the strain on the whole portion and recharging the system, as it were, from time to time with the toxins throughout.
10. Then, to assist the body at the present condition and to overcome this present taxation, we would (through these, see?) first use as an inhalant this:
11. To 4 ounces of pure grain alcohol, add:

    Eucalyptol...............20 minims,
Canadian Balsam...........4 minims,
Rectified Oil of Turp.....2 minims,
Creosote..................2 minims,
Elixia Solution Tolu.....20 minims.

12. Shake solution well to-gether and inhale through the mouth. This is for the respiratory system and for the relaxing and action on same through the nerve and blood supply to the system.
13. Taking into the system those properties as would be found in this:
14. To 8 ounces of Sage (Garden Sage - dried), add:
15. 16 ounces of water, see? (distilled water) Reduce to one half the quantity - to 8 ounces, see? Strain. Then add:

    Gin.......................6 ounces, (Gordon Gin
Preferred).
Sugar.....................4 ounces, dissolved in
1 ounce of hot water.
Ambergris................15 grains, dissolved in
1 ounce pure grain alcohol.
Balsam of Tolu............2 drams, dissolved or cut
in alcohol - just sufficient to cut it.

16. The dose of this would be teaspoonful taken every 3 hours. Shake solution well to-gether when this is taken, see?
17. The inhalations should be taken with this, or whenever necessary, see?
18. To reduce the temperature, massage all along the spine equal parts of olive oil and Hydrastis, see? Massage this along the spine at least twice each day.
19. The diet should be Junket and stimulants as will assist the system. Using enemas occasionally - cool water - to assist in reducing and cleansing the alimentary canal.
20. Do this and we will find we will bring better conditions for this body. When this has been taken for 3 to 5 days, we would change through these.
21. We are through for the present.

REPORTS

1. 1/08/26 EC's ltr. to Mr. McReynolds:
115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va.
   Dear Mr. McReynolds:-
Your wire received last night. The reading was gotten this morning and I'm in hopes that this will be in time to be of some service and use to Mrs. [4347]. I'm in hopes you'll be able to have these suggestions followed out very closely, and from experiences that we have had in other cases, I'm sure they'll find results. The inhalant, as you know, is not to be taken internally at all - just inhale the fumes from this. The medicinal properties are to be taken internally - I'm sure you can have your druggist make up - for there's nothing in this I'm sure you would have any trouble getting compounded. The properties to be massaged (olive oil and Hydrastis), that of course means a Hydrastis in liquid form, and I understand massaged into the system along the spinal system to give strength and resistive force, to reduce temperature.
Be sure and let me hear regarding this, for I'll be anxious to know.
I'm wondering if you have gotten in touch with my good friend, Mr. Frank E. Mohr. I'm sure you remember him. He used to be at Nortonville, Kentucky - in Tampa at present. He wired me a few days ago for your address, but a letter from him since then said he did not receive an answer to my wire.
Certainly hope that I may be of some service to Mrs. [4347] for I'm sure it would be gratifying to you to know you had been of some assistance in helping her out.
   With kindest personal regards,
   Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD

Mr. Edgar Cayce, #115 West 35th St., VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA
   Dear Mr. Cayce:-
Your special delivery letter, containing reading for Mrs. [4347] was received Sunday afternoon about five o'clock, and she was then in a dying condition and passed away about ten o'clock that night.
We appreciate very much your kindly interest in this case, and feel sure that if we could have communicated with you two or three weeks earlier the treatment which you prescribed would have proved very beneficial.
With best wishes, and assurance of my highest regards for you, I beg to remain,
Yours very sincerely, [signed] T. J. McReynolds McR:m
3. 1/21/26 EC's ltr. to T. J. McReynolds:
115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va.
Mr. T. J. McReynolds, Atlantic Bank & Trust Co., Daytona Beach, Fla.
   My dear Mr. Mc:-
I'm pleased to have your letter of the 14th, but sorry indeed to know of the death of Mrs. [4347]. I was very much afraid, from the reading, that it was going to be too late. I certainly wish that we had had an opportunity to have tried this before so late. We certainly are getting some wonderful results. I felt tempted to wire the whole thing to you, but didn't know what to do about it.
I trust things are going fine with you and yours; conditions have changed considerable with me since I last saw you. While I've never given up my faith and hope in our project in Texas [Cayce Petroleum Co. - [3777] series], still it's very dormant at the present time.
Have you seen our friend, Mr. Frank E. Mohr lately? I believe he is operating in Tampa, Florida.
I'd be glad to hear from you when you have an opportunity.
   Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
