This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 12th day of November, 1924, in accordance with request made by self, through Mr. [900].

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over any physical ailments in this body very briefly and give cure. Then you will go over the mental and spiritual of this body in great detail, telling how this body may develop her mental faculties to attain her best and fullest development in this earth's sphere, giving any faults in the mental outlook or inclinations of this body, and tell us in detail what the body may do now in a practical way to help her attain success in her career as an actress and bring material gain to herself. You will also answer any questions pertaining to this.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see. We will find the physical conditions better in the body at the present time. We need, however, to carry out more thoroughly the suggestions as given in that of the massage especially, for with the strain as is placed on the physical forces the body needs the relaxing for the muscular tissue throughout the body, as has been given, that the whole physical may function the better. In this we would give follow close to those conditions as have been outlined for the physical health.
3. In the mental and spiritual, we find the body well developed in every way. There is in the mental forces those conditions that have brought strain in the mental activity through that of distress or disappointment. In this the body should exercise the mental and the physical to the manner that will give the best to the work in hand, for this will be found to be both remunerative and give the advancement necessary to make the income from such labors more than sufficient for the needs, and will lead to the success of the entity. While the strain on the body, and the temperament in mental, are such as to work hardships on the mental and spiritual, the relaxing through physical, as outlined, will give much to developing in mental and spiritual forces.
4. Then, to increase, we would give that the body mentally, physically, spiritually, should carry on and work toward the end as will come with the production through which the entity labors. This will be found to be a wonderful success for many moons. Then the change that comes with this will bring the possibilities to the entity to develop in the career as an actress. The spiritual forces need only be given the incentive to act through the mental and the physical. Hence the necessity in this to keep the physical and the mental fit, that through such work the body may develop.
5. There are many channels through which these labors and endeavors will lead or open for the entity. We would give to follow closely in the one being enacted at present, with whole heart, soul, mind and body, for the numerical development comes, a does that of the remunerative elements.
6. (Q) If this body, [4353], fitted for the work she is now doing? If not, what work, to bring her material gain, would she be better suited for?
   (A) She, [4353], is especially fitted for the work she is developing toward, and the present is the means of development to make the success the body desires.
   Do that.
7. (Q) If fitted for her present work, how, or what, should she do to secure greater success, or a better part in her present production?
   (A) Give self wholly to the work in hand, keeping the mental and the physical fit for the spiritual development that may come through giving one's best to that in hand, for in the present we find the entity developing toward the better parts that will come with the remunerative elements as developments progress.
8. (Q) If not fitted for her present work, how may she secure success in the work she is best suited for?
   (A) As given, labor in the direction as given.
9. (Q) Give us advice, counsel, and information that will help encourage and be of practical assistance to the body, [4353], in her daily work and development on this earth's plane.
   (A) As given, the body needs keep the correct incentive in its work. The body physically, mentally, spiritually, is peculiarly, particularly, sufficiently, evidently, fitted for the work as is before the body at present.
   Then, enter in same with the whole heart, soul and body, knowing that the laborer is worthy of his hire and that success will crown the efforts when all is kept in the spirit of truth, and all must correlate one with the other. Not in the effect of eye-service but as giving to those that behold in the entity's labors that in the physical body exemplified in a manner and way that brings the better thought to the public and to the minds in spirit and in truth. Follow in that way and we will come to the success that is desired in the body, remembering what the price must be paid for a success and the price is of self in mind, in spirit, in body.

1. 11/24/24 [900]'s letter: "...Regarding [4353], you would be highly gratified if you knew how your reading helped her. I studied the darn thing for hours preparing to explain it to her and then when she read it over she said, 'Why yes, I know exactly what it means. I have it in me, if only I have the opportunity to show it. It says I will get that opportunity if I continue to do my best. It says a lot of other things too - and I understand, [900], you don't need to explain!' So [4353] no longer sits in the corner crying her eyes out from disappointment; rather she dances with all her might and tells them she knows she will get there! Lo and behold they already have taken her out of two choruses and told her they had a good part in reserve for her shortly after the show opens. Now I like to finish a work I begin. I began to help [4353] all this work would allow and she really appreciates and wants it. In spite of rehearsals until 2 and 3 in the morning she finds time to go to the osteopath you recommended. When she is discouraged at night she reads over her reading. That is the spirit that gets a tumble from this little 'Willie'. You can't buy that spirit and you can't break it either. So I think we might finish the good work we have begun with her. She has asked me to write for her horoscope and I promised I would ask you please to get it for her... This may help her in her work and encourage her more than anything. It may also warn her of the recurrence of her illness, such as suffered last August. She wants to know what she will be when she returns to earth again..."
