Dear Sir:
I thank you for your communication of Jan. 5 of this year
relative to the proposition that a group of your members will
sponsor readings for a number of charity cases. This is
surely interesting and commendable.
You know probably better than I that the medical profession
in general is so unfamiliar with this mode of approach of
analysis or diagnosis and treatment of cases that is still
exercises a prejudicial judgment on the whole matter. I had
quite a vivid experience in this connection but I have never
told anyone about it. It may, however, be well for you to
know of it. I had a patient [
4389], who suffered from a
Hemiplegia due to cerebral Endarteritis. I was very much
interested in the case and recommended to the wife [
4388]
that your Father be asked for a reading in her husband's
behalf. I had given her some of the literature I had
received from you, but when I sent her a bill for my services
she refused to pay it and threatened to turn said literature
over to our medical society here. Her husband [
4389], by the
way is still living, although I have no information as to his
condition, at the present. Well that is that. I'm taking
care at present of a charity case that with out a doubt could
be benefitted by a more interior understanding of the causes
producing her condition, but the matter of approach with
anything that difficult is so unusual to the average
individual is somewhat delicate matter.
Wishing you all success and greetings to yourself and family,
helpers and especially your father. I remain, with the best
Easter greetings, as ever, your friend.
