This psychic reading given by Edgar Cayce in Hopkinsville, Ky., this 8th day of January, 1911.

TEXT

1. EC: [4408], ... Street, ..., Tennessee, yes, we have him here.
2. Let us get this together. Now, you see, we have a condition existing here in the system, not produced, though, from the conditions existing at present. So we have had a treatment of existing conditions without removing the primary or first cause of the conditions in the system.
3. Now, you see, we have here, along the spine, from the head along, down the spine here, we have the whole nerve force, the whole nerve system of the whole body here of [4408] we are talking about, you see, until you have produced a tightening of the muscular forces, which supplying along or laying in lateral here, with the nerve forces along in the body, along the spine, till we have produced an overtaxation, you see, to these muscular forces and nerves, till we gather them together, as it were, till we produce a condition to the system that he just wiggles about, won't work, you see.
4. Now we have more of that, you see, through the pelvis and through the lower limbs here, and at other times we will have it produced here, as it were, a stiffening you see, the muscular fibre stiffens as it draws out here. That is the condition we have existing at present.
5. Now the condition existing or producing this condition, comes back here from the supply of the blood along here, [word(s) missing]. The condition that exists through the pelvis and through the organism of the generatory organs, you see, that produce inflammation in the bladder here, and the backing up then of this same inflammation into these lines here, and into the kidneys themselves, producing then this lesion here along the spine, you see, at the lower lumbar, till we have caused (see this is right here where we have the cerebro- spinal nerve forces sprangled out, through the whole lower end of the body, and comes off here into the sciatic nerves, goes down into the limbs, goes off here then through the whole body, you see, through the pelvis, carrying all these conditions here along with it.
6. That produces then these same conditions all through the body. As we have these inter-lateral nerves all through the whole system, you see, carrying out to these forces, there, and treating these here you see, new cold, congestion or anything into the system, produces the same thing into the system that we have had.
7. Then you see, of course, we have the same reflexes from those conditions here in the system, we have the reflexes through the solar plexus nerve center, through the cardiac nerve center to the lower end here to the iliac, producing more of the inflammation you see, than we have from the other, but through the sympathetic nerve system into the body here or through the organism here of the secondary mind onto the matter, into the matter itself, produce the condition we have existing here, through the whole system of [4408].
8. Now to reduce these conditions into the whole system here (will take a mighty long time) we will have to go back to the seat of the trouble and treat the conditions we have in themselves. We will have to take into the stomach here something to take out, as much as possible, all of the matter into the stomach, here, you see: taking out these forces internally to produce then in the whole system, a carrying away as much of this albuminized matter, that has been allowed to back up here in the system, along in the pelvis, along through the urethia, through the bladder, through the kidneys, and through the whole system.
9. A checking up of the whole system has produced the conditions. And if he keeps on, he will be paralyzed here clear on up through the body, reaching up to this and it will paralyze his stomach, and he will be dead, see: the whole body will pass out from it.
10. Now, you see, we have these conditions: Take these out from the system and take into the system something to neutralize or minimize the matter, till it can be thrown out, not only through the kidneys in themselves (which is the power which carries out most of the waste matter of the system), but can be carried out through the blood to the respiratory system, thrown out through the breath, thrown out through the respiratory organs and through the sweating of the body, (that you want to get more of to this body here) and minimize the matter by manipulation of the limbs of the whole body, with the hands, (Osteopathy) and localize the trouble as much as possible, till we remove the trouble from the whole system, here, by taking these baths with hot water with salt in it, plenty of it, and of the steam baths.
11. The whole system then may have to be minimized again here with the mud until we can produce a respiratory, or drawing out of the system, all of these matters, which produce a taking up by the capillaries and are carried out to the sympathetics and deposited here.
12. Now, you see, we want to get this out from the body here, this congestion, then take away this congestion from the ends here of the muscular force as we come into lateral with the nerve forces here, along the body through the pelvis, through the whole system of the body along the spine, through the lower limbs, along the ends of the sciatic, along the ends here, you see, of the locomotory, see: in the pelvis end themselves, to carry [word(s) missing] the whole system. If we minimize these troubles through these we can eliminate from the system.
13. It will take time and take severe treatment and will take a whole lot of work.
14. From the first trouble the condition existed in the pelvis, you see, through the trouble, or a part of the trouble here, of the kidneys in themselves.
15. You see: first we begin with troubles there, which have become localized there by the conditions or the spraining of the conditions, of the spine, here, and in the condition of the stomach itself.
16. Reduce this condition, you see, till we have the same condition existing in the system, all through the body, and will have to be minimized, or taken up as we go along with the body, or the improvement or the decrease and throwing off from the system in itself.
17. Now the condition you see of the body, having been unable to throw out these poisonous matters from the system, have produced an impoverished condition in the blood, see, till we have a matter gathering back, into the blood, here, or producing the humor, as thrown out, as not given out or cleared up, through the forces, that gather into the lungs, you see here, as for the blood that is thrown out from the heart here into the lungs, carrying these forces with it, you see. We will have to watch these conditions as we go along with them. This will have to be changed, but we will have to get these out of the system, to produce capillaries, to the conditions you see, that we will produce into the skin with the manipulation of the hands you see, of the whole body, of the limbs, of the trunk part of the body and by the drawing to the surface you see, through these treatments here of the baths we have with water, and of the salt. Now, you see, that will draw up the system, the whole thing if not enough into the body, so then you see as it takes it into the system, the salt, now that's calcium chloride you see, that part we find all through the system here, need more into the system and to give more life, more nerve force, more supply or ready to clean the blood or purify the blood in itself.
18. If we follow along that line he will be improved. Let it lay like it is, in twelve moons he will be dead.
