This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce this 21st day of January, 1911.

TEXT

1. LBC: You have before you Mr. [4444] who is in this room. Go over him carefully, examine him thoroughly and tell us what is the matter with him, if anything.
2. EC: We have two existing abnormal conditions of the body here. One condition existing from the outside, see here, on the outside, which taken into the system, produces into the system an abnormal condition. Then we have a condition existing in the system from the functional troubles of themselves; a condition of the fact, that is the facial muscles, of muscles of the face. Then we have a condition existing in the system from the effect of things taken into the system through the circulation and blood supply of the system itself.
3. (Q) Well, tell us what these conditions are.
   (A) Take first then the condition existing in the system or the functions of the system that is involved by the diseased condition of the system, or the organism of the texture of the skin of the face in the muscles of the face, produced here by trouble from away back. This condition, coming in conjunction both with the existing conditions of the facial muscles, produced, by what is taken into the system, from the outside and from the troubles here, a skin portion in the face here above the lip, you see. We have both together, the trouble with the skin itself, produced here by the first abrasion of the skin on the outside, which produced a lack of muscular fiberous force to the portion of the face, to renew portions used up by the abrasion, or by the facial action on this place here. Then, we have its beginning here, by a soreness, hurting, pains through the face, around the eyes, through the neck along up here, and all around the face. These produce, then, the taking up of the nerve supply and the blood force of the system so that it becomes a parasite in the blood force and nerve tissue of the facial muscles. They become inflamed, enlarged. Then these particles themselves are taken into the whole system, producing the functional trouble here, see?
   Then these particles thus being eliminated by the white blood tissue, thrown back as far as possible into the system, they produce then a functional trouble. Then taking into the system these particles, we have now in the system, to eliminate or increase the force in the system to throw out these from it. For the trouble existing in the face now, has grown until we have a system diluted by outside material, and must eliminate from the system the poisonous parasites in the blood and nerve force of the whole system.
4. (Q) Any other conditions you see?
   (A) Plenty here to destroy the whole body, taken as they are.
   Now, we have here, you see, in the system a nerve supply and a blood force, or blood supply to the facial muscles, or the parts affected in the face here, just above the opening in the face - the mouth, just under the nose. Then we have these blood forces supplying the head and all the body of [4444] until you see it has become inflamed with these parasites which are carried back through the system by the blood and into the nerve forces. These same parasites, taken into the system, produce this spreading, gradually growing here - that is the force in itself from the outside, produces that inability of the blood supply to the facial muscles to counteract the outside forces of the parasites that eat up and take up the flesh itself, as they go into the system. Then we have the existing abnormal condition of the system from those things taken into it, that produces an over stimulation to the blood supply to eliminate, as much as possible from the blood and prevent further abrasions.
   Now, as it flows along from here, it is carried through the veins, the arteries, into the heart, and all the rest of the body: thus, then, the parasites are carried through the system and portions of the body, producing the same condition over the whole system. The inability of the body, the strength of the whole system, or the richness of the blood itself to destroy these, in other portions of the body, keeps them from throwing out of the system here, or taking off from the system.
   If we leave this system as we have it, in this condition, with this abnormal flow of the blood, or the abnormal richness of the blood, produced by the things taken into the stomach and into the blood, we would have this trouble beginning again in the flesh until it destroys itself. As it is, we have kept it here where it was until it was taken off - cut off. That, you see, kept it back for only the time being, then we have here produced more into the system the abnormal texture of that thrown out by the loss of nerve force or nerve energy which is taken up and destroyed by the liver through the hepatic circulation. This must be eliminated from the system. The condition can be improved from what we have it. We are bettering the condition that we used to have here in the body of [4444].
   Take a compound here of niccolite, or the same that we have in the wolve of a rabbit at times. It is a stone here, inside of which is a foul odor, outside of the smell of the normal sense, on the face where these parts are affected, and we have these abrasions or rough along with these particles, you see, so they take from the body, or destroy the parasite in the system here. Destroy it right where it is, or assist the whole system, as we have it, to eliminate it from the body of the man. Rebuild then the forces in themselves and keep it still as we have it. Of course it won't make it grow back.
5. (Q) Any other treatment?
   (A) Keep the system strong as much as possible here.
