TEXT

1. LS: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions and also the treatment for the cure and relief of same. You will give specifically the condition of the kidneys and also the eyes.
2. EC: Now we find there are conditions abnormal to this body, and many of these may be corrected. These conditions, as we see, have to do with how the eliminations have been affected in the system and how that through improper assimilation the eliminations have affected the functioning of organs, and in this affectation has brought distress to nerve centers and ligaments, and by dross being left in system this has given rise to the conditions where tissue and nerve ganglions are affected.
3. Now these are conditions as we find them in this body, [4526] we are speaking of, present in this room. First:
4. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, in this we find a circulation extraordinarily good for conditions in the body, for we find there are many elements carried in circulation through poor elimination that would ordinarily affect circulation more than has been in this system. The vitality, the stored energy of youth, gives the system that reaction as is shown at the present time. The change has been so gradual in the system that the body in many ways has gone about to ward against these conditions, even that exist at the present time. In the elements and constituents of the blood then we find these well balanced, though carrying these poisons, these bacilli, that should be eliminated. In this condition and connection we see how and why then certain organs of elimination have become affected, and how this condition affects portions of the system.
5. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, these we find very good. One that has withstood in the past many, many, things that could not be stood by the ordinary individual, yet there are disturbances at the present time in the system that bring distress to the portions of the nerve system now. These we find in centers especially in the ilium and sacral plexus. Many of the ganglions in the lumbar region finds itself under the strain of the engorged circulation in the hypogastric plexus and centers that supply the circulation in the kidneys. This we see especially in the left side, or left kidney, and the sacral plexus then in all of its branches gives the reaction or distress signal to the nerve system. In that the tissue becomes involved in the congestion produced by this strain on the body. In the reflex through the sympathetic system we find this again affects the body in the second dorsal plexus. In the whole nerve system then is only the reaction from conditions produced in functioning organs, and not nerve centers producing the condition.
6. IN THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, in brain forces these coordinate with the body.
7. In the organs of the sensory system we find from the upper dorsal ganglion those conditions that the engorgement by the system attempting to eliminate through respiratory system the body has formed a lesion, affecting directly the organs of the sensory system, especially that feeding the blood supply to the eye proper, so we have at times too much secretions to the eyes, and the action of refused forces not eliminated. Hence the skim or blur at times that comes to these organs. Irritation of the ducts supplying the nutriment that oils or moistens the eye balls and lids. This also assisted by the condition in elimination.
8. In throat, lungs, bronchials, larynx these are very good. Only the reflexes in thyroid gives the condition in throat from reflex forces, where the tendency to swallow, the dryness as appears comes from this lack of blood flow and the condition in blood flow through these glands.
9. Digestive tract very good.
10. Liver torpid in action, though engorged in size. The condition then that has been produced in the body coming from the hepatic circulation and from conditions produced in the upper portion of the intestinal tract, or the lack of the proper nutriment in the intestinal digestion to function properly. The first cause from this in times back produced from the kind and character of water taken in the system. This affecting the Peyer's Patches, and the lacteal glands or ducts. This first produced then the condition that came as temperature to the body, affecting the liver specifically. With this changed circulation the kidneys, through their emunctories attempting to eliminate, produced the irritation that came to the pelvic organs. Then the condition there was the reflex and not a direct cause.
11. Then to bring the body to the normal conditions, and to give the proper incentives for the body to function normal, and give the specific conditions of kidneys and eyes, we find as these: Kidneys in the emunctories engorged, low from the condition produced in this circulation, and giving off distress to the body through uric acid returned in circulation. In the reflexes from the condition in the upper dorsal, the reflex to the eye in its circulation and its reaction in brain forces, through the hindrance in elimination, hindering the vision.
12. The assistance will be found in this, which must be followed consistently and persistently. The return at first will be slow, then the proper reaction will set in. Apply to the lumbar region; that is across hips and across the sacral and ilium plexus; that is, from the hips up, you see, this, using a saturated solution of bicarbonate of soda: Bathe the body with very warm or hot applications of packs of salt, drive this solution into the system. Each evening apply one of these packs.
13. Take in the system no water without quantity of Yellow Saffron Tea and of Elm Water; that is, let all water taken in system carry some of these properties.
14. Manipulate the whole system, osteopathically, at least once each week, until twelve to fourteen treatments have been given.
15. Then apply the violet ray to the body from the solar plexus up, using eye applicator for the eyes.
16. Do this, and we will find we will bring this body to its normal conditions, keeping the mind, the mental, ever in that manner and way, knowing we must present the body wholly and acceptable unto Him, which IS a reasonable service.
