This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at Phillips, Hotel, Room 115, Dayton, Ohio, this 25th day of March, 1924, in accordance with request made by the self - [4542].

1. EC: Now, we find there are many various conditions involved in those of the abnormal nature in this body, and a general debilitation of many of the functioning organs. Hence much of the system is involved, though from specific causes in the system.
2. Now, these are conditions as we find them in this body. First:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this is sufficient in quantity with conditions, yet carrying little of the rebuilding forces in the system, for the blood is surcharged with those elements that should be eliminated in the various organs that have become charged or overtaxed. Hence the shifting of those distress signs in the system, and the body becoming taxed and treated for conditions that are in reality secondary conditions.
4. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find there are centers in the cerebro-spinal system that have been so impinioned as to give almost an atrophied effect to the organs that should be supplied from nerve nutriment, and of rebuilding forces through the blood supply so conducted by nerve ganglion and branches as to cause distress. These we find the first was in the third lumbar plexus, and the secondary condition is brought to the body from this in the lower portion of the solar plexus center, this giving distress to the organs of the pelvis and of liver and kidneys, and this overcharges the system with toxins from the digestive tract, for not sufficient of those nutriments were supplied the system for elimination to take place properly in the body. Hence the condition has arisen from these forces, and the present condition is not as that in times back that produced the condition, for with those sediments and with those properties taken to enliven these functioning organs there has been created other conditions and centers through which the system gains its nutriment. Hence the misdirected conditions in the system. In the sympathetic system this ganglion in the lower lumbar is also involved, and this produces high nerve tension of the body at the present time.
5. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS DIRECT, we find the whole system involved from time to time, though not all in the same manner.
6. Then to correct this condition, and bring the body to the normal forces, would be to first correct the condition in the plexuses that have been involved, and release those impinioned nerve centers, so that nutriment may be supplied in the proper manner to the whole system. Do this by deep manipulation, osteopathically or chiropractically, provided the muscles are massaged sufficiently to enliven the tissue through which the release in these centers are made, and give in the system those properties in medicinal properties that will remove this dross from system, and given the correct incentive to the organs to function in the proper manner, taking this:
7. To one gallon of rain water, add:

   Sarsaparilla Root.............2 ounces,
Yellow Dock Root..............2 ounces,
Black Haw Bark................2 ounces,
Calisaya Bark.................2 ounces,
Mandrake Root................30 grains,
Buchu Leaves.................15 grains,
Elder Flower..................4 ounces.

   Reduce by simmering (not boiling) to one quart. Strain while warm and add three drams of Balsam of Tolu, cut in four ounces of grain alcohol.
8. The dose would be two teaspoonful three times each day, before meals, and EAT the meals. Not overload the stomach, but that which will be of easy digested; that is, cereal, whole wheat (mashed) and a gruel made of same, and green vegetable matter.
9. After these properties have been taken in the system, and the corrections are still being made, and the body has rested from these properties, then make and take these:

   Myrrh........................36 grains,
Carbonate Soda...............18 grains,
Sulphate Iron................18 grains.

   Rub each of these thoroughly to-gether in the order given. When mixed, rub in sufficient syrup to make into pellets, making these into twenty-four pellets. One would be taken each day. This we see is for the blood and to create the appetite necessary to rebuild the system.
10. Be persistent and consistent in this, and we will bring the body to its normal vibration.

   Dear Sir:
   It was a long while before I got my prescription filled. But I finely [finally] did and have now finished my treatment. I tried to follow out the suggestions as near as I could but my husband was opposed to me taking treatments from the Chiropractor and I did not get to go as regular as I should. There was no osteopath near. My health is not any better but I am very thankful to you for the assistance. If I am ever able to work & earn money I will be glad to contribute to you.
