This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 10th day of May, 1927, in accordance with request made by her daughter, Miss [4586].

TEXT

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions; also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here.
3. Now, we find the body very good in many respects, yet there are those conditions that cause disturbance in the functioning of the body of which the body should be warned, and the conditions corrected at once, else there will be brought about those conditions that will be hard to combat.
4. The conditions have to do with the hindrance as is produced in the functioning of one of the organs of elimination.
5. These are the conditions, then, as we find them in this body, Mrs. [4584]:
6. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, there are the evidences of this disturbance and of the hindrance as is created in the system; also, as is indicated, that the condition is on the increase, rather than being corrected.
7. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this also shows this disturbance and that same has reached that condition wherein the ganglions about this portion of the body are receiving, through pressure, this reflex action, which is indicated by pressure created in the brush end of the cerebro-spinal nerve system, in the sacral region. Hence this disturbance along the return nerve supply to the extremities. Also that as causes the depression, or that feeling at times as if the pressure at the base of brain is more than body can bear. Hence we find this depression, or this hindrance in the kidneys and in the functioning of these is the trouble located. The condition is one of impaired nerve supply, and these become (the kidneys) so slow in their action, and the pressure is of that subtle nature as to hinder in the distribution of the nerve reaction and the effect produced upon that created in the system from same, rather than carrying so much of the kidney discharge back into system. This, then, as we see, needs that as necessary to relieve these conditions. While there have only been occasions when this entrance has caused distress in the organs proper, yet we find that the general mesenteric system has shown this disturbance in the depressions and pains as have been caused in various portions of torso.
8. To meet the needs of these conditions at the present time, we would prepare a mild watermelon seed tea - proportions, that of three (3) ounces of the seed to sixteen (16) ounces of distilled water, and let this simmer for at least twenty (20) minutes. Strain, and keep cool. The dose would be a few drops - from five to fifteen (5 to 15) in water twice each day. This acts as a counter irritant to the system. Hence it will be found necessary, through deep manipulation, to break up the lesion as is formed in sacral and coccyx, and as IS forming in the lower portion of the dorsal region - 11th, 12th, dorsal. This will require at least thirteen to nineteen (13 to 19) such treatments.
9. After the second or third treatment is given, wear those vibrations as will be created for the body by the Double X Radium Pad, worn across the sacral region.

11. (Q) What causes the terrific pain she suffers in her small toe on the left foot?
    (A) The pressure as is created on the locomotory plexus, and this same as is seen in the pineal nerve as produces the pressure at base of brain. One one way, one the other. One to the nerve proper, the other to a reflex nerve.
12. (Q) How can she improve the condition of her eyes?
    (A) The general condition of the system improved, through the correction of the blood supply and of the eliminations in the system, and the nerve supply, see? Be well if the body - at least once each day - will lay the pad - for one minute only - across the eyes, with eyes closed. Only one minute at the time, see?

   Now about Mother's reading, everyone in the family thinks it is quite wonderful. She starts her treatments next week and I have written to the Radium Appliance for info about the pad.
   About the watermelon seeds, I bought them, as I told you over the 'phone, and we proceeded to make the tea Monday evening. We allowed it to simmer for about 20 minutes as directed in the reading. I expected to find the tea have a strong aroma but it is very mild. Using only 15 drops in water is a very small quantity and Mother was wondering if we interpreted it correctly. I cannot get anything else out of it. What do you say?
   She is suffering dreadfully with pains in her lower back, and every evening when I come home she tells me that now she realizes "this and that" since she received the reading. Well, Mr. Cayce, you can add another admirer to your endless list!
   My sister [4585] told me this morning that she wrote you for an appointment on a life reading. She's all anxious!
