This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 24th day of November, 1928, in accordance with request made by her parents.

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body, [4611] - this we have had before. In some respects conditions are improved. In others there are accentuations and conditions that need correction. Ready for questions.
2. (Q) Why does the body at times, when asleep, breathe heavy; rather make a peculiar noise through nose? and what can be done for this condition?
   (A) This produced by the enlargement of glands in the head and throat, and the adenoids should be removed by operation - but the condition should not be operated on with the system in the present condition. The preparation should be made for such conditions. That is, the blood supply and the nerve system is in such condition it wouldn't be well to remove this at the present time.
   Also the tonsils show inflammation. This, however, is more reflex than DIRECTLY - and these would not NECESSARILY need operating on at the present time; though when one is done the other may be done as easily.
   So, with the preparation for the conditions, with the operation we would remove then the conditions as produce the trouble, and we will find the body will recover PROPERLY, if precaution and preparation is made. It would be DETRIMENTAL unless this was prepared.
   Prepare, then, with at least five manipulations for the system to localize condition and equalize nerve pressure and sensation from the solar plexus and cerebro-spinal centers, especially in the cervical and upper dorsal region. Also cleanse the system, so that the liver and the hepatic circulation are in accord with the body. This would be done by the use of hepatics, such as would be found for THIS body in Castoria, or Senna, Cascara and PRUNE juices - or its sedative from same, see?
3. (Q) Why does the body take cold very often?
   (A) From this same condition. The irritation naturally causes the body to take congestion, for we keep too high a circulation for the general normalcy of the body. Hence the body easily takes cold, and immediately there's a rise of temperature, and also the abnormal condition becomes engorged.
4. (Q) What causes the acid condition and at times blotches on cheeks?
   (A) Poisons being assimilated in system from condition existent in throat and head. Remove these conditions and centralize the condition in the manner as has been outlined, and we will find this acid condition, this tendency for abrasions, to disappear - with the correction of the condition.
5. (Q) What can or should be done for her arches? that are inclined to be a little flat, and her ankles weak?
   (A) With these manipulations as would be given for the system, with the correction of conditions above, and for the body to wear supports as will protect these portions of the system, removing the nerve strain and tension, we will find these will be bettered.
6. (Q) That is all the questions. Any further advice that will aid?
   (A) Follow that as has been given. Make proper preparations before the operations are performed, and we will find the condition will respond and the SYSTEM will respond to that necessary for the correction of same. Without that, be bad - or general depression in the body. We are through with this reading for the present.

1. 11/05/28 Father [554]'s letter: "She has been ailing the last month or so. Doctors suggest removing tonsils which I am not keen on doing."
2. 11/21/28 Mother's letter:
   Phila.
   Dear Mr. Cayce
   I would like to ask the following questions about [4611]. At times, [4611] breathes heavy or rather makes a peculiar noise through her nose while sleeping and catches colds very often. The doctors say it is her tonsils and adenoids. What can be done for this condition?
   Also she has an acid condition at times. A few blotches appear on the cheeks then disappear in a day or so. What can be done for same. [4611] is not flat footed but her arches are inclined to be a little flatter than they should. Her ankles are weak.
   Kindly advise what to do. Should the tonsils & adenoids be removed.
   [4611] is past 9 years.
   I will keep her at home Saturday Morning.
   With hopes of hearing soon I'll close & remain

   P.S. Often complains of being tired, does not run as much as the other children, yet is quick.

1. 12/11/28 Father [554]'s letter: "Report on [4611] is very interesting. Will find that at some future date we will have her condition corrected. There is one question I want to ask, and that is, by manipulation do you mean osteopathy or massage?"
