This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 322 Grafton Avenue, Dayton, Ohio, this 17th day of April, 1925, in accordance with request made by his wife - Mrs. [4622], recommended by Mr. George LaBryn.

Present: Edgar Cayce; Mrs. Cayce, Conductor; Gladys Davis, Steno.

TEXT

1. GC: You will have before you the body of [4621] whose home address is ... Chicago, Ill. You will locate him at this address when he was there. You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly and tell me the conditions you find at the present time. You will diagnose the case thoroughly, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also the treatment for the cure and relief of this body.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Twenty minutes to six - A.M.
3. Now, we find there are abnormal conditions in the body and these conditions affect the functioning of organs in the body through the condition produced in the system.
4. Now these are conditions as we find them in this body, [4621] we are speaking of. First:
5. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, this we find not balanced in the distributing of forces in the rebuilding portions of body, for the blood carries bacilli or those conditions as are left in blood supply by not being strained through the organs in which the emunctories aid directly - liver, kidneys, especially. Lungs at times. This, then, leaves the functional conditions as exist, and as we will see, how they (the organs) become involved in same.
6. IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, this we find, with the strain, the unequalized condition, often causes distraughtness, especially in the rest or soon of mornings. This is for the lack of the equalization, by pressure as is produced in the cerebro-spinal system, directly connecting with the sympathetic system in each center where the condition shows - 7th and 8th dorsal, 3rd, 4th lumbar and the sacral plexus. These, then, are rather in the condition (these centers) of distraughtness, and the ganglions about these show how the effect is produced in system. Rather that of the distraughtness than of lesion forces there, or lesion in a manner in the 2nd and 3rd dorsal.
7. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS THEMSELVES, brain forces very good.
8. Functioning of the sensory organism, those as would be expected from the conditions as exist in the body as produced from outside and from conditions existent other than that that should be corrected at present.
9. Lungs show the effect of the blood supply and of how congestion, as has existed in the system and that flowed through the blood stream, shows its effect in lungs; though not organically deranged, not organically functioning perfectly, for many cells remain full.
10. Digestive system shows how that the stress on liver, pancreas and spleen prevent the assimilation of properties taken in the body as food.
11. The condition through the hepatics and through the kidneys again show the effect, and oftentimes we have the return into the system of the uric forces, or uric acids as are exhibited in the functioning of the capillary circulations in joint and tissue.
12. Then, to bring the normal conditions to this body (for this body may be benefited physically a great deal, through conditions as would be applied to the body), we would, when there is distress, distraughtness, across the small of the back and through the hips, apply saturated solution of soda and vinegar (apple vinegar). This, of course, ferments immediately, but apply to the body in solution. That is, when the vinegar has taken up as much as it would hold. Then apply the heat from salt packs (damp) to the body. This we find will remove these conditions, relieve the pain, also that between the shoulders at times, where the lesion shows in the upper cervical, lower cervical and upper dorsal. This will relieve this strain there. Correcting this by manipulation, either osteopathically or chiropractically (either one, so the adjustments are made in the body of the cervicals, dorsals and lumbars), so we have alignment throughout the body. Taking these properties in the system, prepared in this manner:
13. First take 8 ounces of fresh wild cherry bark, put into 16 ounces of water. Reduce by simmering (not boiling heavy) to 8 ounces. Strain. Then add 6 ounces cane sugar, stirring well in and let come nearly to the boil, but not quite, inside of other container; that is, in water. Then add to this solution:

    Syrup of Sarsaparilla.....................1 ounce,
Tincture, or Fluid Extract Stillingia...1/2 ounce,
Fluid Extract Yellow Dock Root..........1/2 ounce,

    Iodide Potassium.........................15 grains,
Fluid Extract Poke Root.................1/4 ounce,
Peppermint, Oil of........................2 minims.

14. The dose with this (and must be shaken well before each dose is taken - medicine) teaspoonful four times each day, taken before meals and at bedtime.
15. Do this, and we will find the corrections coming to this body, so that it may function normal throughout, [4621].
16. We are through.

   I'm enclosing you the reading as gotten for Mr. [4621] this afternoon. I am certainly in hopes that you will find the following out of these suggestions will bring a great deal of relief to him. Would suggest that you consult Dr. Robert B. Saxmann, whose home address is 7300 Princeton Avenue. He has an office somewhere downtown but I don't know just where.
   Be sure and let us hear from you from time to time. We thank you for your contribution to the work of the Association. I certainly trust that we may have been and may yet be of service.

He was getting so thin and sickly looking and did not have an ambition and now where ever he goes the folks tell him he is getting stout and looks very good. I am very much obliged to you for your help and when some of our friends and folks write for a reading I am sure they will get the same results that he has gotten if instructions are followed.
