10/12/37 Alfred D. Butler's letter to EC: "In one of your
recent letters you asked if Dr. Dyer F. Talley was still in
Birmingham. When Leonora was in Birmingham in July she had
occasion to go to the Talley home. So he is still there
and practicing. My aunt, Julia Dainwood, visited them
this summer on her trip from Oklahoma. I do not, however,
know his professional nor his home address, except that he
lives across the street from the Weather Bureau in Fountain
Heights, a subdivision of Birmingham, and that his office is
somewhere in Norwood. Doubtless you could secure the address
from a phone book the next time you go to Norfolk if you
have occasion to get in touch with him; that is I believe the
larger phone offices have such information available for the
more important towns. On the other hand a letter directed
simply to Birmingham might catch him, as he is a landmark,
and perhaps well known to the post office officials there."
