This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce in Selma, Alabama, this 8th day of June, 1921.

1. EC: Yes, here we have the body here. This body is very good, but we have some abnormal conditions through the body. They have to do with the distribution of the circulation and its rebuilding cellular force throughout the system and the effect that it has on the nervous system over the entire body, both to the supersensitive nerves and the coordinating nerves and the cerebro-spinal and the distribution between those and other portions of the body. Now, these are the conditions as we find in this body, [4646] of whom we are speaking.
2. In the blood we find the hemoglobin or rebuilding force of the blood deficient - that is there is not the properties being taken in the system to furnish all of the nutrition needed to rebuild certain portions of the system; hence, the system becomes easily tired from exertion of certain character and kind in the body - the mental forces easily irritated - mental action or over-strain irritates the system throughout. There is no resistive force as given to rebuilding force as is needed. The number of the leukocyte in the system are very good. The coagulation as produced or reproduced, rather easily. The number of the red blood cells are deficient, but less deficient than certain properties needed in the hemoglobin to supply or make resistive force in the system. In the nerves, therefore, we find the effect of this condition - it is especially shown in the ganglion along the upper part of the lumbar - the first and second lumbar - fifth and sixth dorsals, through the secondary cardiac plexus the fifth and sixth cervicals, or those coming to the upper portion of the lungs, which have affected some of the chambers of the lungs and the action of blood and air forces as used in the clarification of the lungs.
3. The functioning of the organs and organic conditions as we find existing in the system, through the brain or cerebellum, the action of forces as received both from the cerebro-spinal and sympathetic nervous systems, are all very good. We do not have proper accordance always between the cerebro-spinal and the sympathetic systems, hence the condition, or produced from the condition, about these ganglia from the cervical, lumbar and dorsal regions. The action of the blood supply through the thyroid or glands here affecting the throat are not always normal, hence the condition produced in the throat at times by refraction of the ductless glands. It is only a secondary condition, however. The lungs we find showing only the effect of the condition as we have given relative to the action of the nerve forces as governed by the blood supply and the condition of the blood supply through the system. The nerve forces affect the digestive tract - only spasmodically and we have refraction from the pneumogastrics at times. The functioning of the rest of the organs, the organs of the pelvis region are very good through their channels with the condition that does exist throughout the whole system.
4. To correct, or to prevent or keep any further inroads in the system, we would give or add this to the system or body here, [4646] or whom we are speaking - this:

   Wild Cherry Bark..........2 ounces,
Black Haw Root............2 ounces,
Yellow Dock Root..........2 ounces,
Burdock Root..............2 ounces,
Elder Flower..............4 ounces.

5. This would be put in one gallon of water, preferably rain water, and reduced by simmering, not boiling, to one quart. It would then be strained and to this would be added: 4 drams of Balsam of Tolu, dissolved in 4 ounces of grain alcohol. The dose to the body would be one tablespoonful night and morning. Then we would correct, as these are given into the system, the condition as we find at the first and second lumbar, the fifth and sixth dorsal and the fifth and sixth cervicals. Do that and we will find we will bring this body to the development of itself through the best channels.
6. We are through.
