11/08/27 EC's letter to [
4658]'s son:
My dear Mr. [...]
Replying to yours of the 29th, enclosed you will find what
was given in the reading as respecting the conditions
surrounding your mother and taking of those things
prescribed. I do not know (not knowing any more about the
conditions than I do, or just how you and your mother feel
respecting the work) whether I know how to advise you or not,
but I am of the opinion, if you will study both of these
readings very carefully you will be able to arrive at that
conclusion which will be the best thing to do. I believe, if
she will go at the suggestions in the proper way and manner,
she will be able to gain a great deal from them - but, if it
is not obtainable in your own mind, and in her mind, why
then I don't think it would be the best thing to go on with
it - for only in so far as an individual is able to make the
suggestions given compatible in their own minds and hearts,
will these ever be of any benefit. I have been hoping to be
in New York for several weeks. I possibly may be there by or
before the 1st, and when I do come, I would like to see you
and talk the matter over with you, for of course I want to
see my good friend Mr. Adlman, also at that time. But I am
certainly hoping and trusting that you will be able to get
something out of these that will make them really worth while
for your mother's condition.
Thanking you for your letter, and hoping we may be of
service, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce EC:GD
