9/21/26 EC's letter to mother of [
4678]:
"I enclose you the reading as was gotten this morning. I
certainly am very much in hopes that this helps you to
work things out just fine for the little girl.
"I am sure she must be on the improve, and I feel if you are
able to carry out the suggestions fully as are given that she
is going to be perfectly normal and alright. I don't know
where to tell you to get this Maypop. I'm sure you have been
able to get the Mayapple Bitters, but I would get the other
too, if you possibly can. Possibly Mr. Moseley at Varnon's
would help you out with this - I don't know. I certainly am
in hopes it won't be long before we will have a place where
everything that is suggested in the readings may be supplied
from.
"You will notice the suggestions are that the neuropath will
be better than the chiropractor, but that the osteopath, Dr.
Woodall should at least see her twice a month. I know this
makes it kind of hard on you, but I know you're willing to do
most anything to get the little girl well and strong.
"We have been very uneasy about a great many of our friends,
since hearing about this storm in the South. Hope there
wasn't much damage done in that vicinity, though it would
seem that you felt the effects of it.
"Let us hear from you whenever you have the opportunity. We
assure you it's our desire to be of help if possible. Mrs.
Cayce and I both send our kindest personal regards to you and
yours.
10/01/26 Mother referred Mr. [

10/04/26 Mother's letter to EC:
"Pardon me for not responding earlier, but have been sick.
"We got the last Reading and already have our little girl
under the treatments of a Neuropath. He gives her treatments
every other day and we have her on a diet also. She has only
had two attacks since commencing with the Neuropath a week
ago.
"When your first reading was received she was having (5) five
and (6) six a day and was as thin as she could be. Now she
is about normal in weight, a good color and plenty of life
and pep. I can scarcely express to you the rapid improvement
she has made since first taking her to Dr. Woodall.
"Thanking you and Mrs. Cayce for the pains you have taken in
her case. We believe in the Readings and will do all we can
to fully carry out the suggestions made.
"We carried her immediately to the Neuropath as we had one in
our city, and we wanted her to continue to improve as she was
doing under Dr. Woodall.
"Hope you and your family are well at this time."
12/20/26 Mother's letter:
"Our little girl is beginning to show signs of great
improvement at last. We are giving her treatments
three times per week. She is taking the adjustments,
manipulations, massages, also electrical treatments. Just as
soon as we get in a position so we can, will send you some
funds for Hospital. So sorry we are unable to do it now but
these treatments have made it hard on us although we've had
wonderful results."
6/07/29 Parents referred Mrs. [

7/60 Notes on EPILEPSY cases from the Edgar Cayce records
made by Walter N. Pahnke, M.D.
At A.R.E., Virginia Beach, Virginia
The following notes were taken on cases as read and are
merely the opinion of the abstractor at the time he read the
case plus the correspondence. The main value of these notes
is that they give some indication of what the exact diagnosis
in each case may or may not be.
Case [
4678]. Given in 1926. 9 1/2 year old female. This
case was classified in group 1. The patient had had
convulsions for three years. A type of convulsion was
described in the first reading, which was affected by eating
and the kidneys. A description of the pineal cord which
runs outside the spinal chord and is connected to the spinal
cord at the base of the brain was given in the reading.
There was improvement after the first reading and more
after the second reading. Instead of
5-6 attacks a day they
dropped to only two per week within three months. However,
three months after the second reading no more follow-up
reports were obtained.
