My dear Mrs. [
4691]:-
We have yours of the 8th, and would like very much to be of
help if it is at all possible, in the case of the baby that
you make reference to. However, in talking the matter over
with the physician in charge of the hospital here, he assures
us that, so far as he knows, in medical annals there has
never been anything that has offered cure or relief for such
conditions. Of course, if these friends of yours still
desire that we undertake it, if you will have them send in
the application that we are enclosing, we will be glad to get
it just as soon as it is possible for us to do so, and will
put same among our emergency cases. Ask them to be sure, in
the first letter, to give us the address at which we would be
able to locate the baby at any time that we might be able to
put this in.
I'm certainly glad to know that you are feeling much better,
and certainly trust that we may be able to be of some
assistance to your friends.
Sincerely, EC:GD
