Mr. Edgar Cayce,
P.O. Box 463,
Dayton, Ohio
Dear Mr. Cayce:
No doubt you will recall having sent The Hatton Pharmacy, of
this city, a portion of TINCTURE OF VALDALIA [Stillingia?] in
order to fill the prescription which you gave me for my
throat difficulty.
The first bottle or two effected a decided improvement in my
speech, but subsequent bottles had little or no effect,
therefore I am of the opinion that after the above ingredient
was exhausted that they either used a substitute, or omitted
it entirely.
My suspicion is strengthened from the fact that the above
druggist was inclined to ridicule such treatments and even
went so far as to tell me that while it would do me no harm,
it would not help or cure me.
Of course, what he said does not shaken my confidence in you,
but it does in Mr. Hatton.
I have arranged with Mr. Park, of the Tobias Drug Co., 266
North High Street, to fill the prescriptions for me, and wish
you would send them at once, at least 3 ounces of TINCTURE OF
VALDALIA [Stillingia?].
By referring to your files you will find that one half ounce
is required in each six ounce bottle.
Am interested in knowing how much of this drug Hatton ordered
and if you care to tell me, I will keep it strictly
confidential.
Thanking you in advance for your prompt attention to this
matter and with best wishes, I remain,
Yours very truly, [

Dear Mr. [
4695]
Glad to have yours of the 14th. Sorry to note that you've
had some trouble with getting your prescription prepared. If
I remember correctly, the first quantity sent was one ounce.
I am today ordering two ounces sent the Tobias Drug Company.
I'm certainly in hopes you will find the same results from
the proper preparation of this prescription as you did at
first.
I'm wondering if you have been able to get the vibrations as
suggested in your reading. Perhaps it would be well sometime
in the very near future for you to have a check reading on
the first one given and see just what the trouble has been,
or what is necessary for conditions at the present time.
Thanking you for your letter, and trusting that we may be of
further service, I am, with all good wishes,
Yours very truly, Edgar Cayce

Dear Mr. [

In regards the properties that were sent you some days ago by
the druggist here, or at least sent to the Tobias Drug
Company, I am sure that you have received same before this.
I find that they made the charge for same to me here.
Therefore, I'm enclosing you the bill.
Trusting that you will let me hear from you occasionally, and
with kindest personal regards,
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce

Dear Mr. Cayce:
Your favors of Feb., 16th, and 19th, were duly received, but
withheld reply until arrival of the medicine.
For some reason it has not arrived. Have called almost daily
at The Tobias Drug Co., 266 N. High Street, but they inform
me that they have not received it.
It was to have been sent in care of Mr. Park, head of the
prescription department for the above firm and will greatly
appreciate it if you will check up and see if it was sent out
and upon receipt will remit to you.
In regard to another reading, I have not been taking the
treatment for some time and am wondering if it would not be
better to wait until I resume treatment before taking another
reading.
You of course are better able to determine this point and
will be glad to have your views.
Thanking you for the interest taken and with kind personal
regards, I remain,

My dear Mr. [
4695]
On receipt of yours of the 22nd, I immediately phoned
Griffiths Drug Company, the people who were to send this,
and they informed me that they had shipped it on time. Also
told me that they were sending in that mail another half
quantity, or one ounce, and would then trace the rest and
find what was the trouble. I'm certainly in hopes that they
have received it before this and that you're getting some
results from this compound. I assure you of my interest and
I'm certainly in hopes that you will let me hear from you
from time to time, and any time that you would like to have
another reading on your condition, be glad to fix it up for
you.
With kindest personal regards, I am
Sincerely, Edgar Cayce

Dear Mr. Cayce:
Answering your favor of the 9th, The Tobias Drug Co. received
the drug some time ago, but as it was labeled Ext. of
Stillingia and they were advised by me that it would be
labeled Tincture of Valdalia, I was advised each time I
called that it had not arrived.
The above firm also informed me that it was sent C.O.D. and
Griffiths Pharmacy memorandum states that they received
payment.
If you paid Griffith for the drug kindly advise and I will
immediately remit to you.
The second shipment of 1 ounce referred to in your letter of
the 9th has not arrived and upon receipt will advise you.
Expect to get the prescription filled today and will advise
you of results a little later on.
As for another reading will try to arrange for one soon as I
have time to come to Dayton.
Thanking you for the interest taken and with kind personal
regards, I remain,

Dear Mr. [

Replying to yours of the 20th, I'm glad to know that you
finally received the medicine as was sent by the Griffith
Drug Company, and as you see from the memorandum sent you
this was paid for here. I will take the matter up with these
people and get this straightened out. I'm certainly sorry of
this delay and the trouble and inconvenience caused, but
assure its the first time we've ever had any trouble of this
kind.
I'm very much in hopes that you're receiving good results
from this. Be sure and let us hear from you from time to
time.

Dear Mr. [

We have just taken the matter up with the Griffith Drug
Company regarding the shipment to the Tobias Drug Company a
few days ago. Mr. Griffith says he did not send this C.O.D.
Will you please have the Tobias Drug Company to give you
their receipt from the express company, or parcel post, and
send same to me, that I may take it up with Mr. Griffith.
I'm sorry of the inconvenience and annoyance this has caused,
and trusting we may be able to get this straightened out, and
that you will receive the results from your treatment, I am
