Mr. [

..., Ark.
Dear Mr. [
4709]
Have yours of 12th and glad to hear from you. All of the
last correspondence with you was from my Father whom I am
glad to say is still enjoying the best of health, he however
is not with me just at the present time. Most of the
correspondence I believe was carried on with you after I had
left Hopkinsville, and I do not know just what the outcome of
it all was. A little less than two years ago I happened to
be passing through Little Rock and dropped in at your office.
You were too busy at the time to see me, tho I did not give
my name and as I had to catch a train didn't wait. Would
like to have talked with you tho, and am enclosing one of the
cards for you [to] fill in and you will notice the date and
hour set at which time this reading can be made. I am sure
you know, Mr. [
4709], I have never wanted something for
nothing, and that also you know enough of business and
business methods to know that you will do what is the right
thing in regards the pay or contribution toward the work. I
am giving my whole life to the work and I rely on the
goodness of those whom I try to be of assistance to help
pay my rent and eats for self and family, for we all eat like
the rest of the folks, and no one not willing to pay their
part should expect for me to take my time from someone who is
willing to help and give it to them. I trust that I may be
of a great deal of help, and believe can. I know thousands
have been helped since you heard of me and a great many of
them where all else had failed to give any hope of relief.
Thanking you for your letter, and trusting that may hear from
you and that I can be of service
I am sincerely, Edgar Cayce
P.S. Please get card back in time that may know this date
and hour is satisfactory with you.
Do you know what has become of Prof. Putnam? [Prof. F. O.
Putnam]

Dear Mr. Cayce:
Your very kind favor of the 15th. before me. You don't know
how sorry I am to learn in this letter that you were in
Little Rock and I did not even see you, although I have been
trying for several years to locate you.
I am returning the card as you requested and will state that
I will write at the bottom of this letter as a post script
exactly where I will be at that hour.
I don't know what ever became of Prof. Putnam, but I will
make some inquiries and let you know.
I am so glad to know that your father is with you and
enjoying his splendid health. I am fortunate in having my
father with me and in very good health at eighty years.
You know that I will be fair with you about paying you for
the treatment. You gave me help before and I was willing to
pay for it and I feel the same way this time.
Trusting I will hear from you soon and I believe you will do
me good. Wishing you continued success in your work and with
the very kindest regards, and hoping some day to see you
personally, I remain
