This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his office, 115 West 35th Street, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of September, 1926, in accordance with request made by self - Mrs. [4721].

TEXT

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, and suggestions for the improvement of same. Also answer the questions I ask you regarding same.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.
3. Now, we find, while the body has shown some improvements, still there are the results and effects in the functioning organs of those conditions as produce or bring about these congestions add contractions of muscular tissue and of nerve ganglions through various portions of the body. As has been given, we find the functioning organs and the various portions of the muscular system work or operate under the strain of auto-intoxication, as is produced by this poor assimilation, and by the digestive system not functioning normally. Torpidity of the liver, the hardening condition as is seen in portions of the liver, or spots as are seen by the inactivity of same, and this, with the body not carrying the normal condition in the diet of the body, brings about these conditions as does strain and weather conditions at times, see?
4. Now, to bring about the changes in this system, we would take these properties as medicinal properties. We would also use high enemas to cleanse the system, especially the colon, see? These, as we see, will assist with these medicinal properties. Then the diet must be kept in that way and manner that we have the rebuilding forces supplied, rather than that that taxes the vitality of the system. These as the medicinal properties:
5. First, we would prepare:
6. To 16 ounces of water we would add 3 ounces Wild Cherry Bark. Reduce this by simmering (not boiling) to one-half the quantity. Strain and add to this 2 ounces of cane sugar, dissolved in 2 ounces of hot water. Then add: Syrup of Sarsaparilla Compound.........1 ounce, Tincture Stillingia..................1/4 ounce, Tincture of Poke Root..................2 minims, Elixir Calisaya......................1/2 ounce, Tincture Yellow Dock Root............1/4 ounce.
   Cut 3 drams Balsam of Tolu in 4 ounces of pure grain alcohol. Add this to the solution, with 1 minim Tincture of Capsici, 2 minims Oil of Peppermint. Shake this solution well together, and the dose would be teaspoonful 4 times each day.
7. Use the high enemas at least twice to three times each week. Use before retiring. Use in the water - as used in this manner: To one gallon of water add 2 teaspoonsful Glyco-Thymoline. This as an intestinal antiseptic.
8. Do this, and we will find we will bring the better conditions for the body. Ready for questions.
9. (Q) What is the condition of the teeth, and should they be taken out?
   (A) Rather would we use those properties as are found in Ipsab as a wash, or to prevent any of the toxins from causing decay in teeth, or from the gums becoming infected through the softening by the condition in the system in general. Do not remove same. Not necessary.
10. (Q) Is there a growth of any kind in the right side, or in the liver?
    (A) Spots on the liver - not growths. These are produced by the over strain in the digestive system, and the functioning of the liver being deranged by conditions in system. These properties as have been given will reduce these conditions, will the diet be carried properly.
11. (Q) What should the diet be?
    (A) That as has been outlined. Never meats, save fish or fowl. Beef juices may be taken, but never the meat of the beef, see? Vegetable forces. Not apples raw, but apples cooked. Other fruits may be taken in the raw state - such as pineapple, oranges, cereal, fruits and nuts - all good for the body, in moderation.
12. (Q) What is the condition of the spleen?
    (A) Taxed through the strain mentally and through the nerve system general. The Stillingia and Calisaya, especially, for the liver and spleen.

   Dear Mrs. [4721]:
   We enclose you, herewith, the copy of the reading as was gotten, and I'm in hopes that by following out the suggestions as given here you will find greater relief than you've ever had before. I feel sure, from the reports of others, that if you will do this, you will get results.
   As for the preparation for the gums and teeth, I am preparing that for you, and will send it to you in the next day or two, with instructions as to how this is to be used. I don't think from this that there is any necessity of your having your teeth taken out, but it will take some persistent and consistent attention to your condition to overcome the trouble.
   We would appreciate it if you would let us hear from you from time to time.
