This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the LaSalle Hotel, Room 901, Chicago, Ill., this 11th day of March, 1928, in accordance with the request made by self - [4794].

TEXT

1. EC: Yes, we have the body here. Now we find the physical forces throughout the body very good in many respects. Yet there are conditions that need corrections for there are tendencies and inclinations being created in the system that without a change or a correction of those conditions producing same may bring unsatisfactory conditions to the physical functioning of this body, [4794], we are speaking of, present in this room.
2. These then are conditions as we find them with this body. First, in the blood supply - this we find deficient in the quantity more than quality. Yet the tendency is to the excess of the white blood corpuscles; the red being deficient in count nearly 1 1/2 million.
3. In the effect that this produces is the lack of sufficient builded energy or that saved or stored energy to at all times meet the needs of the conditions in the body; hence the body at times finds self easily tired out - long standing or walking tends to make the lower limbs feel heavy and across the region of the arms or the plexus that radiates at the second dorsal to feel achy through shoulders and chest.
4. These are purely reflex conditions from lack of vitality created in the system. Not that any condition exists that is in the act of being detrimental as yet, yet the tendencies as exist from low blood count. Hence we are sure they must be a cause for this condition.
5. The seat of the trouble is not in the blood nor in that as taken to create in the blood, but rather in those portions of system as will be seen.
6. In the nerve system, here we find a body well balanced, yet when these depressions occur, the system apparently relaxes to the nerve struggles of system to keep up equilibrium; hence, the body feels hot, cold flushes that do not come from other than your nerve attempting to coordinate between cerebro-spinal and sympathetic system; yet in some of the ganglia we find the basis or seat of the disturbance.
7. First, the one in the second lumbar causes the greater distress. This reflexly has produced a lesion of a different nature in the 9th dorsal plexus or the branch of the solar plexus ganglia. Hence, the improper incentive of nerve action to the right side hinders the proper assimilation in the region where new blood is carried into the system for use. Hence a plethora condition exists there, that the body should be warned against that it does not increase until there are detrimental conditions resultant from same.
8. In the functioning of the organs, themselves. Brain forces very good - one that is at times considered slow in reaction but rather positive and sure when the mind is made up.
9. In the sensory system, the reaction from nerve incentive becomes apparent at times.
10. Throat, bronchial and lungs show only the effect of the condition existent in the blood supply or character of same and is the reason for the tendency of the body to easily at times contract congestion; yet at others, as easily throws same off.
11. Heart's action - normal under the existent conditions.
12. Digestive system shows the effect of the nerve reflexes as does the liver and the assimilation of digestive particles or digested foods for the replenishing or rebuilding of the system.
13. The hepatic circulation be below normal, yet not a cold or sub-normal action, but below normal in its pulsation or temperature.
14. Kidneys show the reflexes of the conditions of the body. To meet the needs then of these conditions, we would, first, correct osteopathically those existent conditions in the lumbar and dorsal region necessary - that at least 5 adjustments and 5 general manipulations be given. After the third treatment has been administered, use for the body those vibrations from the radium appliance XX Pad, wear same over the solar plexus center, recharging same at least once each day in strong light or sunlight and in 30 to 90 days, we will find a body near normal condition. Do that.

16. (Q) Should the osteopathic treatment and the manipulation be given separately or at the same time?
    (A) The adjustments and manipulations be given at same time; the manipulation general every other day; the osteopathic adjustments every other day.
17. (Q) What is the cause of the bowel trouble?
    (A) The poor assimilation as created by the plethora condition existent in the region of the right side where blood is taken back into the system - lack of full intestinal digestion. See. With the correction of the condition existent in the lumbar and dorsal region and with the revitalization of the blood stream by the radiated action of the radium appliance, with the re-vital action in the nerve system by proper and correct stimuli from the manipulation, these conditions, this tendency of the blood to lack rebuilding for the system to lack in the proper assimilation for this congestion in the intestine and especially in the region of the vermiform appendix, we will find the body will come to nearly normal functioning. Do that as given for the correction.
18. (Q) Is the same cause as given the one that produces the headaches?
    (A) This produces the headaches, as given, through the reaction to the sensory system. Pains, the head aches through the top and the eyes and temple. See.
    Reaction to that ganglia from the solar plexus to the radiated forces of the esophageal ganglia.
19. (Q) Is the blood pressure high or low?
    (A) Sub-normal.
20. (Q) Should there be treatments to correct this?
    (A) These have been given.
21. (Q) That is all of the questions.
    (A) Do this, as has been given, for we will bring a near normal condition and prevent accumulations through a plethora condition existent or causing pressure in the right side.
    Correcting the whole system through the proper incentive from radial sections of the nerve system, stimulating the blood supply to that of being near normal will bring near normal condition.
    Do not, with the stimulus added, over-eat or over-crowd the stomach; yet the body should be governed by one that would give the correct vibrations through the manipulations and adjustments.
